  1. Using this with a 5900x, I'm just wondering... if you use the bottom two M.2 slots (M.2_2/3) you are getting PCIe 4.0 but losing half the lanes for the PCIe x16 slot. So, why ever run anything in those two M.2 slots? The ASUS site says that with a 5000 series "M.2_2/3 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280, (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode)" and the "DIMM.2_1/2 slot (Key M) via ROG DIMM.2, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA modes)" It looks like to me that M.2_2/3 are using the CPU instead of the x570 chipset because the DIMM.2 uses it instead (I think). It's great that the board has 5 M.2 slots, and 3 of them will always be PCIe 4.0 (as long as the drives are 4.0) but it seems like you'll only ever really want to use 3 of them because using those bottom 2 will cut you GPU lanes in half. Am I incorrect? Thanks in advance!
  2. What do you guys make of the pictures? Nothing has ever been spilled on it. Feels like a grease.
  3. Ok, so something isn't stealing focus from the looks of it... Couple things I'm seeing in Event viewer "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows." and "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Graphics card could be going? I'll check to make sure all power connectors are seeded properly as well as the graphics card.
  4. I'm having the problem of a program window (mainly Tarkov) losing focus. Game almost crashes, then freezes and I can hear the game being responsive in background. After reading around and finding many possible things... i'm running out of things to try. Things I've tried: - uninstall and reinstall game - check game file integrity - try higher and lower settings in game - update graphics driver - roll back graphics driver (using DDU) - check power settings for graphics card and system (all set to use max power) - set all system components to stock speeds/volts - make sure Google Chrome is closed when trying to play - install the game on a different hard drive - update Windows version - uninstall any RGB software (gigabyte aorus, steelseries engine, evga led sync) - reinstalled Windows - run benchmarks for GPU and CPU for any stock stability issues - I'm sure there are a few I've missed System 9900kf (Watercooled and stock speeds atm) 36GB Patriot Viper (running at 3600Mhz) Gigabyte z390 Aorus Pro Sound Blaster Z EVGA 1080 FTW Windows 10 Version 2004 (19041.264) Boot drive is a Samsung 960 Evo SSD (500GB) Game drive is an ADATA SX8200PNP m.2 (2TB) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Hey All I just grabbed an 8tb IronWolf and noticed its idle temp is around 47C. I read around and found that temps like that on that drive are somewhat normal, seeing even that Seagate has said drives are ok up to 60C. I'd love to have some air flow over it but with the case I have it isn't really possible (Lian Li o11 XL). I read a little bit about helium drives etc, how they might be a little cooler up in the 10-12tb drives. Is that only in NAS drives from Seagate, WD etc? Would running something like a 10tb Barracude Pro run cooler then the IronWolf? Am I ok just to run with the 8tb Ironwolf at those temps, even though I'm not really using it for NAS, it's just a desktop drive being used for storage? Thanks for the help!
  6. I didn't even think about that. Thanks a ton.
  7. Hey all! Wondering if anyone knows if there is a way for me to just remove the ability for the front panel power button to show rgb? Since it doesn't change colour to compliment the inside of the case, I'd like to just remove the rgb from it. Any ideas? Thanks!
