  1. Hello! I just bought and installed a new Asus z490m-plus board with a 10700k. The computer is running perfectly. However, I checked on Asus' site that there's a bios update available that "Improves system stability". Do you guys think it's worth updating it?
  2. update: installed the new parts and the computer is running just fine with the 550w, thank you!
  3. Nice, thanks! I won't be overclocking at the start. Once the time is right I'll update to a more powerful psu for that
  4. Oh awesome! So what do you think about my psu situation in the end?
  5. Well, Intel is having stock issues. If I wait till all reviews are published, it might be too late to get one for a while. And I can return it within 30 days no questions asked if it doesn't work out anyways. Seems very low risk to preorder considering that.
  6. Do you think there's any risk in trying to turn the computer on with the 550w psu? Or would it just not turn on / shut down after a few? If there's no risk, I could try to make it work with the psu I have and buy a 750w one if that fails. What do you think?
  7. Hello guys! First time posting. TLDR: Is my 550w gold psu enough for an i7 10700KF + 2070 Super? I have preordered a z490m motherboard and the i7 10700KF, and I'm worried that my psu (EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3, 80 Plus Gold 550W) might not be enough. Other than those 2 parts, I have 2x8gb ddr4 ram @ 2400mhz, 3x500gb ssds, 1x120gb m2, 1x250gb m2. I also use 2 monitors and not much of anything else, other than a regular keyboard, mouse, bluetooth dongle... and an xbox controller receiver. Am I safe to even try turning on the new build (when the new mobo + cpu arrive) or should I outright order a 650w+ psu now? Thank you!
