  1. Seems to work fine. Been using the pc for a few days with only the 2x 8Gb Bars. I played through Ori and have had no crash since. And in 10 hours there would have been at least one crash. Remains the question if it is the asymmetrie of 3 bars or a faulty 16Gb bar. Any idea how to proceed? Purchase a single 16GB bar? Can i use all 4 along? Also gonna return the PSU.
  2. Thanks for pointing out that there is one
  3. Fuck me, you are my saviour This looks like a rather solid guide. I just wanted to add a Focusrite Interface to your list, but then i found it in yellow which i almost couldnt read at that hour ^^
  4. That is a tight budget for a "good" audio setup, because you can spend that money on one item alone and you would still only have a solid item and nothing super fancy. In general ... if you can live with having a cable... you can save money and usually cheaper wireless headsets tend to get problems with battery and so on. For a headphone i would also suggest to get one where you can replace the cable. (Depending on how clumsy you are with cables, that can save you a lot of money if you "only" need to replace the cable.) Also, stick to brands like Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, or Beyerdynamic. Those aren't fancy(no lights etc.) but they have the sound. You should spend at least a three digit sum on the headphones... preferably "Studio" Headphones usually have a linear sound and you probably dont want that, so avoid them. Let's say they usually have less boom and they make the music and the sound more like it actually is. Depending on what you expect from your sound the truth can be disappointing to some. Make yourself trusted with the terms "on-ear" and "over-ear" On ears are easier to wear but allow more surrounding sound to enter your ears... so not good for noisy neighbours. Over ears press a lot more to your head which gets more uncomfortable faster, but the sound has more bass and you hear less outside noise. One thing you can do is... go to a music shop wherever you live. Usually you can test out most of the brands i mentioned above, before you buy them which can be ... let's say enlightening. (also a few grams more or less on your head can make a huge difference depending on your build) Microphone: There is two ways actually. The easy way is... buy a USB Microphone. you can get quite a few nowadays... also sets with stands etc. Same as before... go 3 digits, depending on what is inside the set. and it doesnt matter wether you get a boom stick or place the microphone on your desk..... ABSOLUTELY get a Spider for the mircophone. That is the attachment with all the ribbons or rubber bands. Your friends or viewers or whoever is gonna listen to you, will thank you for not hearing your tapping on your desk or picking up your glass sto drink. Also you probably should go for a capacitor microphone. Second way: You go for an XLR-microphone, but you would need a sound interface for that.... it is a little bit more trouble, but you have more control over it and the sound quality can be better, depending on the money you want to spend on it. And you can replace the sound interface or the microphone to upgrade later on. Let me know if you want to go that way and i will answer your questions about it.
  5. Small update: No issues for a few hours of playing now. But the problems have been unpredictable ever since, so it doesn't really say anything. I will test more... For the RAM: 2x 16GB is probably better than using 4x8Gb right? (Both costs about the same) If it turns out that the irregularity is caused by the 3rd bar, i would need to purchase new RAM to get back to 32GB I suppose using 2x16 abd 2x 8 together wont work either?
  6. Gotta agree with the post above. I think the holes maybe made the problem even worse. you could just put a new cooler onto the card. Here is something i found after 5 minutes of searching. I am sure there are hundreds of different options to that. https://www.arctic.ac/de_en/accelero-twin-turbo-ii.html
  7. yeah i removed the 16GB, now running with 2x8Gb in Dual Channel only. I have had random bsod's with a previous 2070 by Gigabyte about a year ago. (Sent it back because neither me nor nvidia support could get it to work) Also my gtx960 did have issues as well, but i dont think i have the dumps anymore. Most of them pointed at drivers tho. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a couple of others. Always thought it was my old system or a faulty graphicscard.
  8. No, as insane as it sounds but both CPU and RAM are running with default settings. The only thing overclocked is the 2070 but i bought it that way. That day i think i also noticed a high usage of the GPU by the dwm.exe Yeah now that the PSU is ruled out i can only imagine it being the RAM or the Mainboard. I previously thought that it is the uneven number of Ram Slots being used or the different sizes, but there have been mixed opinions about it and i didnt find a single person who could say if thats good or bad.
  9. Good day everyone, i am reopening my issue with new knowledge. i previously posted in this topic: I hope this is allowed. I am experiencing game crashes and Bsod's as well as simple Blackouts while playing games. Not every game causes crashes but some do. I have experienced crashes in: "Rise of the Tomb Raider" "Ori and the will of the WIsps" The Bsod's usually hint somewhere at a problem with the RAM but they almost always happen when the graphics card is maxed out. Which is one reason why i thought the PSU might be the problem. My Setup: Intel i7 7700k MSI Z270 Gaming pro Carbon MSI RTX 2070 Super Ventus OC Be quiet! Straight Power 11 650 W (after previous suggestions i changed my psu today but got a game crash and a bsod some time after installing it.) 2x Corsair 8Gb lpx 2400Mhz cl16 (Dual Channel Mode) 1x Corsair 16GB lpx 2400Mhz cl16 1x samsung 970 m2 (system drive) 2x samsung 860 (games and old system) 1x 4tb WD Blue The 2070 is hooked up to the 12V lane 3 which can supply around 260W on its own. The operating system is around 4 days old on a new ssd. Obviously that also means that the graphics drivers are new. Bios, chipset driver landriver etc. are up to date. I hope someone has an idea. Minidumps are attached. Cheers. 061020-7296-01.dmp 061620-9656-01 - Copy.dmp
  10. Yes i know that and i tried that before. Along with a couple of other things.
  11. hmm Are you both using different Harddrives to run the game? If not then i guess you should check if you have the current bios, the current chipset drivers etc.
  12. Hmm You are sure your RAM is in Dual Channel Mode? I asked for the "slower cpu" because you java is a little shit and usually works on few cores. So having a cpu with high clock speeds gives an advantage over multithreading in this rare case. What Mainboard are you using? Maybe the pcie lanes are bottlenecking your gpu and cpu?
  13. I am currently in the process of having issues with my 2070 Super. I did all the calculations as well and still get occasional blackouts or bluescreens on my pc while playing some games. (newly set up os) i7 7700k, 2070 super, bequiet straight power 10 500W Currently i am waiting for my new PSU with 650W to arrive, to see if it fixes the problem. Yes my system also only takes around 440W on stress. So i am just giving a second opinion to the previous post. If it's just 30 bucks more then it doesn't hurt to have a little headway. I can let you know how it went with the new PSU if you want. Cheers
  14. Hi there, what version of Minecraft are you using? The java version or the newer one? What do you mean with less powerful cpu? What RAM do you and your friend use? What GPUS ? Greetings
