Budget (including currency): 800-1200 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My friend's mom asked me to help her build a computer for her home/office use. She uses applications such as adobe and AutoCAD. I'm not sure which processor/GPU is needed for this specific build. Any tips would be appreciated! Budget should be around 800-1200 USD

Budget (including currency): $1000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello, my friend asked me recently to help pick parts/build his mom a computer. She will be using the PC mostly for photoshop, illustrator, and autocad at the same time. I've only built gaming pcs so I'm not that familiar with which parts are the best for these kind of computers. All I know is that the softwares are pretty heavily CPU reliant. Her budget is around $1000 USD. Any tips will be helpful. Thank you!
  3. Is there a way to check which parts are workin?

The fans also aren't spinning. I reseated the GPU already and made sure the pins are all connected from the PSU.
  5. I am getting ~44 degrees celcius. The fans do turn on when I manually turn them on with MSI afterburner

  7. Ryzen 5 3600, MSI b450 tomahawk max, Seasonic Focus GX 650, 16gb 3600 Mhz C16 Ram, I am on windows 10 Pro. I have run stress tests to see if my GPU fan will turn on but it has not turned on.
  8. I just finished my first build, updated BIOS and everything, but my screen will sometimes freeze, shows random pixels. (I used this monitor with no problems the past few days on my laptop). My GPU logo light isn't coming on (Gigabyte Pro Gaming OC 2060) and the fans aren't turning as well. Is this is an issue with the GPU? I already reseated the GPU and made sure the pins are all connected to my PSU.
  9. Thanks so much I understand now. I was so overwhelmed with all the cables
  10. Ahh okay. So what I will need is the 24pin, the CPU cable, and one of the PCIE cable for the GPU?
  11. Thank you for the reply. If I have just a m.2 SSD do I still need a cable for it?
  12. Hi I have a Seasonic GX-650 fully modular PSU. I have having trouble finding what cables go where. MOBO is MSI Tomahawk MAX. there were also two different packets with cables and I was wondering what those were. I am very lost.
  13. Okay thanks, do you have any recommendations for HDDs by chance. What should I look for?
  14. would the games go on the HDD? If so, wouldn't that slow the load speed and such for them?
