  1. I wanted to try that as my last option. I hope to keep all my files and media
  2. Hi, Am new here. Yesterday I was trying to install a program on my hp envy x360 laptop convertible which caused the following occurrences in the specific order. 1. My avast antivirus software hang after I tried to temporarily turn off antivirus for installation, 2. CPU utilization went to 100% I restarted my PC to try and fix the problem which then caused: 3. Increase in BIOS time 4. My disk partitions disappeared in windows explorer after some time (They all contained data) Only the OS partition was visible i.e Disk C. I tried the following solutions: 6. Fully scanned the pc for a virus. None was found 7. Tried Locating my Partitions in disk manager, couldn't find them 8. Installed third party disk management software, all couldn't find the missing partitions 9. Checked in device manager where I found that only one Sata drive with 120GB was visible. (Mind you the PC had 1TB of storage with just 105GB free before I messed up) When All failed, I tried to reset the PC while keeping my files then repeated steps 6 to 9. The problem did not go away but now I cant find the missing partitions even immediately after startup. Furthermore, BIOS time has increased from 4.2 seconds to close to 2 minutes, My PC has a black screen lasting about 5 minutes after every boot up. The Missing Files had alot of schoolwork and entertainment files. I seriously want to recover them. All help is welcom and appreciated
