You can try converting the video with handbrake, its free and awesome (http://handbrake.fr/)  , I think ps3 can play mkv's straight out, but I know it plays mp4's too.

I did the exact same thing. My 660 cant handle most games at max settings. I have decided to wait and get one of the new AMD cards when they come out. If that takes too long they i would reccomend the 970.

both will be plenty for most games at 1440p.
 
I probably say this at least once a week on these forums, but take 970 vs 290 performance comparisons with a grain of salt... reviewers have some kind of fetish for using a stock-cooled 290, which is a piece of junk.

Both are good choices, just depends on your budget. IMO, the 970 would be the way to go, but if you need to save a few bucks, the 290 will be plenty good enough.

They're not even low quality units either. *shrug*
I can't complain though. I'd rather have those die on me then a monitor over and over or something more expensive.

The only part I've ever had die in a computer is the power supply. Oddly, every single computer I've build has had the power supply die.
I think I just have shit luck.

probably just unlucky, bound to happen with any manufacturer. 

Just build my 2nd PC in a FT03 - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/117470-my-ft03/ , and it has been running like a champ for the last week, this is until just a few hours ago when the power supply died.
 
I had left it at idle, then when I come back to my desk, I open spotify and this shut the system off, thinking WTF I checked all the cables - they were fine, tried turning it on again to no avail.
 
Looked inside and the motherboard lights were still on ( Maximus IV Gene ), so it must have power but when the power button is pressed nothing apart from a quiet tick from the power supply, then nothing.
 
I felt the power supply and it did not seem hot, and had no signs of dying beforehand, so I frankensteined in my old tx550m and lo and behold it turns on! 
 
My questions are this:
 
Why do PSU's just die like that, must of got I get a bad one ? 
 
Lucky it did not take the whole system with it, has that happened to anyone else with this PSU ?
 
I suppose this is why you buy a DECENT power supply, so even when it dies it doesn't take the whole rig with it.
 
Anyway im not sure what the point of this post was just to share my experience, now off to amazon to order a replacement !

I wish someone would make a tower case that's skinny but quite tall. To fit a full sized graphics card so that I can enjoy Star Citizen without buying a big case.

How's the motherboard dying?
The Dark Rock Pro is 166mm tall and won't fit in the case. The 350D only supports coolers up to 160mm tall.
What's going to happen to the 3570k + mobo?

Oh you already have it. Sry the new ones are just better but if you already have it then it's fine. 

350D is a great case!

I would probably wait for other peoples responses. Although I own a raid 0, I'm not that knowledgeable.

1) Shouldn't
2) Good enough, for the general consumer
3) You would have to buy the same motherboard and configure the raid.
