After replacing the GTX1650 at my 3D-Printserver vs an used Vega64 things speed up for me, can now overnight even shut down my main-pc wit its 2070super

Got back into the Folding game after a very long absence (like 15+ years). Got inspired again by watching the LTT video of them making the Folding server to help Covid-19 research. Thanks for organizing this. Here's the start of my contributions.

Computers work after years in a closet.  My Core 2 Duo e4300 machine spent 6 years in the closet and turned on just fine.  Probably replace the PSU tho, it's now 12 years old I think.

4 months is nothing, I’ve dug laptops out of drawers which went  several years without use, they booted fine. Just needed an SSD to work better.

I bought the Termaltake XT-20 case and 4x 240mm RING Coolers and 6x 120mm Coolers and fired it up with AMD´s 3900x on Auros B550 Pro board with RTX 2070S and GTX 1650 Graphic Cards ... in the front of the Case i got my sixpack Beer for cooling. Therefore i would say, yes, thats very inovative, thx Thermaltake

And i reached Top 1000, have a Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB @3600Mhz and a RTX2700 Super + Vega64 in one computer not running all the day and a FX 8350, 32 GB DDR3 and 2* GTX1650 + 1* GTX 1050TI running almost 24/7 .... thats why my avg pts vary this much between days running both and running only 1 system

I packed my old PC (front view Teamviewer) in the cool basement where it can now run 24/7 without my wife being annoyed. My new Ryzen 9 3900 meanwhile runs in the living room and folds when I'm not playing.

as a budget option, the arctic freezer 34/ 34 duo are good and so s the hyper 212 black. 
a more expensive option like the NH-u12s and the dark rock 4 are also good. 
but budget?

No, you benefit from it in all cases of computing exceeding normal office use, eg videode/encoding, intense computing like boinc or F@H.

My 2 systems are still running 24/7 up here in Manchester. I lived in Florida for 26 years I've not felt hot in the 4 years I've been back in the UK.

+ Seti@Home is hybernated and a lot of good folders wich spend 10+x Years in crunching there have switched to F@H and wont get off here this fast Ok ok, we all have still BOINC client and maybe we are some days in the Year "AFK" if there is a special event ... XD

I will be reaching out to people in the coming weeks in regards to forming the team for folding month 2020, if anyone has helped out with a previous event and would like to lend a hand on this one please do drop me a message on here and I will take note of your interest!
 
I will be posting more details when it becomes relevant to do so.
 
Also I will be talking with LMG to see about them sorting prizes and the like as they have done for the folding month events in the past. usually I end up leaving this too late so I'm trying to keep on top of it this year.
