  1. My calendar is showing non-english characters (i believe chinese?) even though my Country is set to United States and my Languages is also set to English (United States). Seems like the picture of the language also has these characters too. How do I fix this?
  2. That's what I had it set to originally but I am using ipv6 now which introduces the issues. I could switch back to just ipv4, but wanted to know if I could get it working with both.
  3. A bit of a long shot but here's my problem. Youtube seems to run slow (very choppy or doesn't load) if i set my edgerouter lite's dns servers to either google dns or opendns on ipv4 and ipv6. I tried using this method and this method to set up the dns through the command line. The dns servers show up fine when I use show dns forwarding nameservers I'm a bit new to the command line so i only copied what they put (accounting for eth0 being my WAN). However, if I set the dns through windows "Network->Adapter->ipv4/6", it seems to have no issues that I can tell. Videos playback smoothly. Am I just configuring it incorrectly?
  4. I live in the US and need to get a new phone because I need to give my current Oneplus One to a family member. What would be a better deal? 1. Buy a Moto G5 Plus now, and possibly upgrade to a better phone later on 2. Buy the Oneplus 5 8GB version to last for a few years. The jelly effect doesn't bother me too much so I think I can live with it. - All I really care about is battery life and decent performance for a smooth experience (only slight gaming on the side with shop heroes and idle heroes). - Camera doesn't really matter to me. - A smaller phone is a plus but can live without it.
  5. I'm currently planning a student project and my group has decided on a small hologram projector. The idea is to essentially, grab the image from a webcam, mirror it so that it create 4 images that face away from the center of the screen (in different directions) and display it to project onto the hologram device. The device itself is simple and will be made out of acrylic. However, the project seems to be focused on the actual video capture. Beginner to intermediate programming can be done. Anyone have any clue on how to approach this? Currently, it can only be done through video editing software as far as I know, but we wanted it real-time. We also considered that the background may cause issues, leading us to think that we would also need to filter that out as well. A simple example of the project would be this.
  6. Any recommendations on phones that are below 5.5" (preferably 5" or below) and around $300? Brother's Oneplus One (bought secondhand) is having issues with random reboots and even not turning on, so I might give him my OPO which isn't having those issues (we've tried factory resets, wiping the cache and dalvik cache) I mainly care about battery and general smoothness. Coming from lg l9 that lagged opening the keyboard has made me irritated and focused on smoothness. The google fi deal for the 5x seems to still be running but looking around in case. (out of stock of the 16gb ones right now though) Oneplus X out of the question due to LTE band not being supported on T-Mobile. Thanks for your suggestions.
  7. 660 ti Maybe use the new card to get into VR down the line.
  8. It looks great for movie night in a room with little space
  9. A quick google search came up with this, although I don't know if you wanted wireless N or above (this is N). There is also a netgear equivalent. Powerline should also be an option if you don't want run cabling through the house.
  10. CPU: i3-4160 GPU: 750 ti The 750ti is just enough for gaming, but the fury x would make things more enjoyable.
  11. Kyle did a similar styled video. His 2600k did fine against a skylake upgrade. Even if it performed a little worse, the fps of the games were above 60fps, especially for 1080p gaming.
  12. It's something I don't want on there.
  13. I just don't want glass.
  14. I don't want a glass screen.
  15. Oh cool, I didn't know they finally made one of these. I'll check it out.
