  1. It was overheating, so I replaced the paste, yet it persisted..
  2. Card - ASUS Dual series Radeon RX 580 OC edition 4GB GDDR5 It could be something to do with the case. If you can see in the first picture, the front pannel has 4 air intake holes about 2 inches high and one inch wide. I'm not sure what brand it is though. The emblem on the top is something that came with my motherboard.
  3. I have a AMD RX 580 4gb ram gpu but it's continuously reaching temps of 85°C + when rendering videos or gaming and ultimately blackscreenig. I've got 3 intake fans and 2 outake fans, and I've also replaced the gpus thermal paste. When I benchmark the gpu it also performs in the Zero percentile... Is it time to get a new gpu or can a legend help me out?:) Other pc specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5500 32gb ram 250gb nvm ssd 500gb ssd 2TB HDD 600w power supply Windows 11
  4. I'm experiencing extreme stutter and a complete crash half the time. That's after changing my video settings from max to min. I also got a message a few days back about "The exception breakpoint"...
  5. It seems like only the program that I have open at the time is using most of the CPU. With nothing but Google open i get around 8-10%, however the second I open a game it goes nuts using 80+ of the CPU.
  6. Hey, my CPU (Intel® Core™ i5-4460) suddenly started running at 95-100% when I play games (ie Apex) or use Photoshop. My whole system is also preforming considerably slower. The CPU never used to go higher than 40 or 50% usage. I have updated windows, cleared catch, scanned for viruses and malware and also Updated my drivers (and restarted of course). None of this seems to be working. My pc should be ok to handle these tasks with 12g ram, i5 and RX580. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thx
  7. Only an 8 pin... Just got the gpu for a good price so I'd rather scrape together and get a newer psu hehe
  8. Correction, I actually have a 470w psu. Could I maybe plug the 6 pin PCI-e straight into the card? I'm pretty broke rn and can't afford a new psu yet.
  9. Is it SAFE to use a 2x molex adaptor to 8pin run Rx 580? I'm unable to find any stores that sell a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter so I was wondering if it is safe to use a molex to 8 pin adapter:) My pcu is 400w. Thx
  10. A new PSU it is then. Thx for the quick responses will look into a UPS
  11. There was a power surge when the power came back on, the power had cut briefly. After that my pc won't turn on. I do so hope it's only the PSU hehe...
  12. Hey, I live in South Africa where we get lots of power outages. One of these blew my PSU. I was wondering if there is a way to get it fixed or is it better to buy a new one? The supply was brand new so fixing would be preferable:) thx
  13. Thank you so much! It just so happened that it was a problem with the heatsinkwasnt actually making contact with the cpu and thermal paste:) strange though I'd thought that alignments were usually standard. First time using this platform and its amazing how quickly people offer help! Thank you XD
  14. Heyy, I just got a I5-4460 but the bench is showing that its base frequency is 3.6ghz, however, turbo isn't going over 1ghz:( this means that it's performing way below expectations in around the 13th percentile. Any thoughts?
