  1. Hello everyone, my 3,000 USD dell XPS turns into a really expensive frying pan when you put it to sleep. The issue seems to stem from the S0 and S3 power modes not working right. A google search of "dell xps overheating while asleep" reveal a bunch of people with the same issue. Has anyone found a real solution other than use hibernate and only put it to sleep? Bios is up to date Drivers are up to date Dell XPS 17 9700 16Gb i7-10875H 1TB RTX 2060 Max-Q
  2. Dell has a huge issue they refuse to fix, possibly a defect. Dell XPS, their top of the line $2k-4k laptops overheat and are fire hazard. This issue is seems to be caused by an error with the S3 power mode. A google search of this will confirm how wide spread the issue is and dell representatives acknowledging the issue. Dell either wont or cant fix the problem for one reason or another. I spent about $3,000 USD on a laptop that turns into a fusion reactor if I try and put it to sleep. Its a safety (it burns you) and a fire hazard. Dell offers no solutions... Please look into this! Looks like someone wrote an article about it too. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/dell-xps-15-modern-standby-issues
  3. Yup. And that’s why I’m saying you can pirate windows without viruses.
  4. Literally everyone does it. Linus even does it haha. I’ve seen it done multiple times, not hard and completely safe/ virus free.
  5. And steal windows you moron. We don’t pay for that hehe!
  6. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kyleflahardy/saved/#view=BszDcf i forgot case fans but see how much better that is?
  7. Who cares, Ryzen is king . Intel low key doesn’t matter hehe
  8. Make sure you don’t have any VPN’s, even if they’re not turned on. This messed with me and took me weeks to figure out!
  9. I guess I’ll just stick with the X570, it’s only $40 more. Is the MSI X570 gaming plus a decent board does anyone know?
  10. My bad. You said you were “looking for a motherboard around the same price point” but mentioned two price points, $70, and $135 so it was a tad confusing.
  11. When you guys finish your debate please put it in simpler English for me to understand haha, thanks!
  12. Why specifically do you think so? I ask only because your answer is contrary to the posts of others.
  13. Another absolutely excellent and rock solid motherboard is the b450 tomahawk Max. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t find one person who disagrees with me Prices around $115 and sold out online rn though but micro center has some if they’re near you!
  14. Very true my man. I know it’s not the highest end but it’s decent. If you PSU blows your have the potential to wreck a good portion of your system and I’m not trying do that after spending $1300 lol
  15. I know! Gosh, I wish I could buy the b550! Unfortunately it’s a gift and needs to be ready in a few weeks. Thanks for the input!
  16. I went with the CORSAIR TX-M Series TX650M. Why do you ask?
  17. Funny you said that, I didn’t see this until now and actually just bought the Gigabyte OC 3x 2070 super for just a bit more. Thanks for the suggestion!!
  18. Hi all! I’ve just bought the following: ryzen 7 3700x 2070 super 32GB 3600 CL16 2*16 650W PSU 1 TB NVME And, a MSI Gaming Plus X570 mobo for $155. with that being said, I’m second guessing whether I really needed the X570 and I feel like the guy at micro center may have up sold me a bit. I had originally planned on getting a b450 tomahawk Max for $115. Is the X570 a good choice/necessary or should I have gone with the b450. Please be specific as to why in your response, thank you!
  19. Thanks! Unfortunately even though I know June is a big month, I need to order ASAP to have it in 2ish weeks as a gift so I can't wait. As for the GPU, you may be right but I'm a bit of an Nvidia fan hehe Thanks for the suggestion though!
  20. Hey now, I was wondering if it is okay for me to pair my Ryzen 7 3700x with a b450 Tomahawk Max for my upcoming build. Will the mobo be beefy enough for the CPU or do I need to jump up to the x470? In my build I have (any other thoughts are appreciated too!): Ryzen 7 3700x RTX 2070 32GB 3600 CL16 4*8 Stock cooler 1 TB Crucial P1 NVME SSD 2 TB Seagate Barracuda Corsair TXM 650W Gold rated PSU Aerocool Cylon ATX Midtower w/ 7 fans
  21. Yeah not worth it. If you already have it, keep it Just if you hadn’t ordered it yet it was a good choice.
