It does. It affects the whole PC. As for what background processes come up what do you mean by that? If there something specific that you think it might be I can start looking for it. I have tried changing out every single component possible, reinstalled windows about a dozen times on different drives. I've tried only a single drive with every one of my drives each time with a fresh install of windows. The only thing I can come up with left is it has to be something software related. But I cannot seem to find anything that might cause it. I have noticed that it will take several hours before the issue will start every day. I can be on my PC for roughly 5 hours before it starts. When it does start it'll be a couple minutes in between each freeze, and then each freeze will slowly speed up to its almost non stop freezing. If I restart my PC the issue will go away for about an hour but that gets very frustrating.

hello everyone, i have a problem with my windows lagging/freezing randomly every 10-15 min for no apparent reason. i have a 3700x, msi meg ace, 32gb of trident z rgb 3200, msi 1080 gaming x, and a 550w psu. i have tried swapping components out and nothing seems to fix this issue. what ive tried; swapping cpu with a ryzen 2700 changed mobo to a gigabyte ga-ax370 gaming 3 changed ram to 24gb of xpg 2400 changed graphics to a msi 1060 i have even tried switching hardrives and ssd's to see if it was a drive problem changed psu to a matching 550w it seems that nothing that i change out will solve the problem. if anyone has some suggestions to try i am open to anything. thanks
