  1. Can anyone remember the episode where this was discussed? I'm trying to reference it as part of a data security policy but can't find it anywhere
  2. I've got a dual monitor + TV set-up that is super useful but needs to change quite frequently depending on the activity. I'm looking for a software that can toggle between monitor layout states much quicker and easier than going into Windows settings. Right now it can be a pain to enable/disable displays as I'm often also having to use those displays for other devices. Does anyone know of such a tool?
  3. A very late update. (In case anyone ever stumbles across this). I had two different sets of RAM sticks installed - The issue stopped happening once I set the computer up with just 1 type of RAM stick.
  4. Still experiencing issues. At this point it's either It's consistently clocking in at 110 seconds to boot. Very strange
  5. Updates Checked SSD health - apparently fine Removed GPU - same result All possible RAM permutations - same result Current play. Creating a Windows 10 install media and doing a completely fresh install (rather than simply reseting the PC)
  6. I'll definitely take a look at that. Seems like a logical place
  7. Issue started around 12 months ago but this hasn't been my daily PC for over a year so it wasn't a problem. (it was mainly just left on for plex). Now it's having to be used again as my main PC is now my work from home pc. It's an SSD. Probably around 4-5 years old.
  8. I've had the problem for a while now. Decided to disconnect any peripherals, remove all but one drive and reinstall Windows but it still seems to be happening. It just seems to hang on the motherboard logo for a long time. It doesn't seem to have any other issues, I can game and stream from it perfectly fine. But the boot takes forever and I'm worried its a symptom of a greater incoming problem. Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC Mate
  9. I've just always had issues with connectivity + devices not working as intended. The same devices that work well on my Laptop or iMac suck on my PC What's the rough amount I should be looking to spend? I'm keen to get a PCI WiFi/Bluetooth card but will probably wait for a post-covid world as they seem low on stock
  10. Does anyone have any experience with adding Bluetooth to your desktop that doesn't suck? I've tried numerous dongles and they all seem to suck. Is there a better way?
