  1. I do see a pin out near the cmos battery
  2. I’m not sure, but I would test all the possibilities and run some benchmarks to see which one runs best for your system. It shouldn’t take to long, pcie slots are easily renovator.
  3. How would I go about adding a serial port?
  4. Shouldn’t be any louder than a regular 120 mm fan. Some big companies make some of these low profile fans that function really well as the regular 25mm fans.
  5. What you can also do is use a single low prole 120 mm fan where that fan is and keep the other full size. These are only 15 mm thick rather than the traditional 25 mm which might give you some clearance. SilverStone Technology Slim 120mm Addressable RGB Fan with 15mm Thin Design FW124-ARGB https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9RKC8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_A5GUEbF088SWA the thinnest they make is 12mm but good luck finding one of those. If you can find a Scythe Slip Stream Slim 120mm Case Fan (SY1212SL12L) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002CYPWTG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_D-GUEbQQ823K5 it’s the thinnest they make. One thing with that is that you might have to program it at 100% to make up for its lack of flow
  6. Honestly if you’ve come this far, i would recommend just tapering the fan where it touches the heat sink. As long as the majority of the shell casings is on the fan, it shouldn’t effect its function.
  7. I recently purchased an Hp MV2100 series NAS off the facebook marketplace FOR CHEAP(came with 2 1tb drives all for $30). Ive been wanting to make a NAS server, and thought this would be a fun toy. Ive been messing around with it for a couple hours now, and so far this thing is oudated, and hot garbage. Anyone know if there's a way I could flash new software onto this, or anything I can do with this to make it usable?????
