  1. When I activate xmp and let my pc idle for about a minute I get a bluescreen showing an error message. Something like "windows ran into a problem" or so. That doesn't happen when I disable it. Could it be because xmp tries to overclock my CPU as well? It sets the base clock from 100MHz to about 102MHz.
  2. I went to a computer store today and bought a pair of G.SKILL Aegis 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz CL16. XMP doesn't work for me (PC bluescreens and says there is a problem). I think that's because my motherboard has a maximum voltage of 1.2V and the ram needs 1.35V....not too much of a problem for me though. I ran the SotTR benchmark and averaged 81FPS instead of 62FPS, so I am really happy with the result. Thanks for everyones help here!
  3. I've been looking around online shops as well and settled with a G.SKILL Aegis 16GB kit. 3200MHz and CL16. I think I'm going for that. I really hope that improves the performance of my pc. Thank you very much for you help!
  4. Thank you, I will have a look at some of those....I've been looking into those G.SKILL ones for some time. What about the speeds? The faster the better or do I have to pay attention on something like the compatibility with the CPU?
  5. ohh I see, so I will definitely upgrade that as soon as I can. Thank you very much!
  6. No I only have one stick of ram with 2133MHz and it doesn't support xmp...already checked that I don't really have the shopping list of what I've bought but I know I've got those components: CPU: I7-6700 @3,40GHz GPU: GTX 1070 MSI Gaming X RAM: Kingston DDR4-2133 1 Stick á 16GB Motherboard: MSI Z170-A PRO I'm running my games off a HDD but as there is next to no usage I don't really think that should be a problem. So I guess the best thing would be to upgrade my ram instead of heading towards a better CPU? Thank you very much for your help!
  7. When I do some benchmarks etc. the CPU does reach 100% usage. I've checked MSI CPU-Z and it appears that my RAM is a single channel, so I guess that's quite bad XD. I've downloaded the SOTR demo from steam and ran the benchmark. With the high preset I could average 62FPS and it tells me that I am 11% GPU-bound. Is that good or bad or what exactly does that tell me? I guess it means that my CPU is way to slow for my GPU?
  8. I've been looking at my usages for a little bit now and my disks stay at 0% (or go up 2% very rarely), my CPU has an average of about 50%, GPU of 30% and RAM of 50% as well, so there shouldn't be any bottlenecks. The individual CPU Threads stay at about 30%-50%. They don't really go above that.
  9. What does that to exactly? I've just had a look into that and it appears that it uninstalls some drivers and does something with the system. However, it could also mess up my system if I understood that correctly....
  10. Alright thanks, will do that. Oh yeah right, that sounds comprehensible haha, thank you.
  11. I7-6700 GTX 1070 16GB DDR4 2133MHz I'm going to focus on My Summer Car for now: The temps are below 70°C. I am playing on 1920x1080 and it's running below 40FPS In GTA5 my GPU temps go up to the limit of 83°C and the game runs at about 50FPS on 1920x1080 as well.
  12. I've been wondering why my CPU and GPU usage never go up to 100% while gaming. Yet, my framerate doesn't reach 60FPS. I have seen several YouTube videos where the usages go up to 100% constantly, so basically it should be possible to achieve that, right? It's said that there might be a motherboard bottleneck if your CPU and GPU can't reach 100% usage because it can't process the power of those components. However, while benchmarking the do, in fact, go up to 100% usage in my system, so that shouldn't be the problem in my case, right? So is there a software problem? Or do those games simply not use all the CPU cores or something like that? I've been wondering about that for quite a while and couln't really find any solutions or great help, so I just figured I might give it a go in here.
  13. WOW I've tried typing in the scannow command and after that my idling usage went down to about 9-11%, thank you very much, I will definitely keep that in mind!
