  1. I agree with most of what Alex has said. I would consider revising your build with a different case and maybe waiting for a budget closer to $700. That is a more optimal price range for price to performance.
  2. All he has is a spectator version. He doesnt have a key or the actual game. That is why I need the code.
  3. I got a Dota 2 key from the bot on steam and tried to get my friend one so we could play, but it says he already has it. Does anyone else have a key I can use for him? Thanks in advance!
  4. I'm happy to say that it now works. I regret to tell you that I screwed up the power button and reset button. I'm obviously a genius.
  5. Ok, I recently replaced the power supply and tried to turn it on again. It still wont turn on though. I will try a RAM exchange with my computer and I will see what happens.
  6. My friends computer that I built is broken and I need to test all the parts. What can I take out and not stop it from being able to go to BIOS. For example, can I take out all the RAM, the graphics card, the CPU? At what point will it stop working when I take out a certain part. So, what parts does it have to have to get to BIOS?
  7. Yeah there was a black thin tube inside that looked like its cap was gone and there was the same thing that looked like It came from the tube.
  8. Im pretty sure it is not supposed to be there because I filed and RMA request telling them exactly what I told you and the are allowing me to replace it. Either way the PSU does not work.
  9. I have posted a few things about fixing my friends computer that a build for him recently on the forum. I had just taken out the owed supply and tested it (which it failed by the way) when I noticed something VERY strange. Near the inside wall there was a white solid/liquid thing that looked like hardened foam across the components. I figured that was the problem and will be sending it back for RMA. My question is, what was it?
  10. I have tried that already. As far as I could tell the fan didn't spin up. The reason I wanted to add a fan is becuase most guides say to. But if you think when I completely remove it and jump the green and black pins on the 24 it should turn on your probably correct. It is a corsair PSU and easily still on warranty so I will do a few more tests and then return it and get a new one if it continues to not work. Thanks for the help.
  11. I finally got it out. Now I just gotta test it to see if it works.
  12. Could you be more specific? Like which black wire I should connect it to on the PSU and also were is the 12v line?
  13. I need to test my PSU to see if it works and all the guides say to attach a fan and just turn it on and the fan and PSU fan should spin up. Problem is I dont have any molex to fan adaptors. Is there any way to bypass this or do I just need to buy and adaptor?
  14. How can I use tweezers if I can't even move it to see the pins?
  15. My friends computer that I recently built for him is not working for some currently unknown reason. What I do know is that the 24 Pin cable from the PSU is stuck in the mother baord. Does anyone know how I could fix this?
