  1. I looked into it but I got my board discounted in a bundle and the discount covered the flashback. Also the boards that have that feature are over $25 more than the flashback so I just paid the $25 to get it done.
  2. They said it would cost $25 which is more than free but not bad
  3. I just received my 5600x and asus tuf x570 plus wifi and im 90% it won't boot because the bois doesn't support zen 3. Symptoms are the led indicator lights up solid yellow which is a ram error and there was no beep on first startup (manual said there should be) I have tried the ram from my old system with no luck. I don't have an older amd cpu to use to update the bois but I have requested a boot kit from amd. I've heared they take a while to arive so I'm wondering if there is a way to get arround this issue preferably without buying a used cpu to use.
  4. I'm going to be gaming at 1440p with a high refresh rate monitor, I play gta5 the various cod's, I plan on buying cyberpunk and I still play cs occasionally.
  5. I'm in the market for a new graphics card (it will be paired with a 5600x once it arrives. I've noticed in my area I can get used 2080 supers or 2080ti's for $600 to $700 CAD. Should I just pick up one of those (probably a 2080ti) or get a new card? If I do get a new card I'm leaning to the 6800 as an fyi.
  6. by heavy cad work i mean heavy for a university student
  7. I'm in the market for a new laptop and have decided to get an xps however I haven't decided between the 15 vs 17 or whether the 4k screen is worth it. I am buying the laptop for university and I know the 17 may be overkill but I will be using it for medium to heavy cad work. I do have a desktop (6700k + gtx1080) I will be bringing with me however I would like to be able to not have to work from home all the time. All advice is welcome.
  8. Can do, as far as I’m concerned it’s on borrowed time but I’ll do my best to keep it alive aka not overclocking it
  9. Thank you to everyone that helped me out I caved and tried throttle stop as last ditch effort and it worked!!!
  10. I can load the default setup from the exit menus but there doesn’t appear to be a clear cmos option. The graphics card is also out it’s using on-board now
  11. Yes it’s all the way left I also put the xmp switch to ex When I clear the cmos I have to force it shut down because it won’t post and none of the leds will turn ie cpu, storage vga etc
  12. K that switch is on XMP I haven’t switched it and the switch above it is on TPU
  13. When I trip the cmos pins should it boot while there tripped? Also I think the battery is good as I’m bypassing the cpu fan header as my pump is in the pump header (I’ve tried both didn’t change anything)
