  1. Back story: I run a small garbage company(~20 trucks). We use MS Surface Go's in all the trucks for routing purposes. For roughly $600 they run nearly flawlessly and have enough power for their single purpose. Recently, one of them needed replacement due to a swollen battery that was out of warranty. In the short term, I gave mine(only used occasionally for note taking and work from home purposes) to the driver that needed the replacement. While shopping for the replacement, I found that new-old stock of the Pro X SQ2 is now deeply discounted to right about the $600 mark on amazon. So my thought is, give my old Go to the driver that needed the replacement, and get myself the Pro X. I know that the Arm powered surface didn't get a great review when it came out, but how is it with windows 11? Surely it'll be better then a top spec Go 3(i3, 8gb), right? Does anybody have personal experience with the SQ2 and windows 11?
  2. Since Dan just did a 3D printer review, how about we do some 3D scanners? Maybe budget $300-$500, enthusiast $500-$2000, pro $2000+. I haven't seen many videos of reviewers looking at this space.
  3. Dialing in the Z axis and getting the nozzle temp set correctly. My prusa mini like 230* nozzle temp when using filament from prusa, anything colder doesn't seem to print correctly.
  4. Rosewill makes a pretty reasonable 4U. I've got the 15 bay 8 fan variant. https://www.newegg.com/rosewill-rsv-r4000u-black/p/N82E16811147326?Description=4u case&cm_re=4u_case-_-11-147-326-_-Product&quicklink=true You're probably going to have to ditch the AIO if you want a rackmount, unless you want to do custom water cooling.
  5. Its always better to have a even pairs of memory, so (2) 8gb sticks or (4) 8gb sticks. That 3rd stick probably isn't doing much to improve performance unless you have like 50 chrome tabs open at once and just need to extra capacity. 2133mhz is glacially slow, especially for a newer ryzen cpu, they perform better with faster memory. If I had to guess you'd probably see a marked increase in performance if you went from 24gb of 2133 to 16gb of 3200.
  6. That ram setup does not match the CPU. Also, who has 24gb? Do you have 3 8gb sticks? You'd probably be better off with 16gb at 3200-3600.
  7. In my experience, the X570 can be had for only a few dollars more then a B550. https://www.newegg.com/asrock-x570-steel-legend-wifi-ax/p/13-157-894 I've got the pro 4 version of the board listed above, since I didn't need wifi. Its been rock solid. If you're going 5000 series make sure whatever you pick will support that, either out of the box, or with an update.
  8. You'll probably have to either get a repeater/extender, or run network cable out to an access point. You could also try powerline networking. Essentially using your existing power lines as network. I haven't ever used it, but it may be an option for you.
  9. I've got nest, I think it was a 3 pack bundle around a year ago. Pretty easy and straight forward. Enough bandwidth for a family of 3 with all our devices.
  10. I'm working at a site where 3 buildings need to be able to talk to each other. Internet comes in to building A. Wifi reaches building B okay. There is a roughly 15' drop between A and C, with a couple of small trees in the way. I'm looking for recommendations and the best product(s) to get wifi from A to C. Speed isn't super important, 100mbps should be plenty.
  11. If you haven't chosen yet. The V21 is excellent. I've built 3 different systems in them. Lots of cooling options. It is a bit of a porker for a "small" case though.
  12. I highly doubt this will surprise anyone, but the card never arrived. I contacted amazon customer service and they gave me a full refund. So the question remains, what is the end game for this seller? Do they take the money and run, leaving amazon to refund money that the seller now has? From my perspective, I'm not out anything but a couple minutes of purchasing time customer service time.
  13. Its a gamble, for sure, but Amazon is pretty good about handling disputes, in my experience. So if its not as described, worse case, I get my money back.
  14. Am I missing something here? I read the listing about 8 times and didn't see any red flags other then the price. I ordered one, just in case it disappears, I can always return it if its bunk, I suppose. Fingers crossed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DMX8M32/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A70L5TKHBXLBF&psc=1
