  • Biography
I was born and raised in a small town in North Carolina. I grew up not so close to my older brother while I was young but after being able to spend some time with him we grew close together. He was building computers and playing games on them pretty much every time I went to visit. This is what drew my attention to PC building and technology in general. A little later in my life, during my high school/college, I discovered a new friend and neighbor that had worked in IT for the Marine Corps. We started hanging out, getting into trouble and learning about computer and automotive technologies. Also, during my high school/college career I’ve been training in martial arts. I currently have a Black Belt in Mudokwon Taekwondo and have been studying other arts such as Muy Thai, Karate, Jujitsu, Kung-Fu, and a few others that were merged in with those. That’s a simple start on getting to know me :-)

  1. Hey LTT gang, I'm planning to start liquid cooling my main rig here very soon. My only concern is having enough space for enough radiators. I have a Corsair 800D and it’s quite full. I have occupied all of the quick connect HDD bays and one of the lower ones (but with an SSD in there) I have a 3930k @ 4.8GHz on a Rampage IV Formula and 2 GTX 780’s that I would like to overclock a bit as well. So my question here is, with all of that stated, what’s the maximum amount of radiator coverage I would be able to obtain? I’m looking for a very cool and quiet build, I'm currently having temperature issues with the CPU when under full load. If any more information need be provided just let me know! Thanks in advance, Nate J
  2. Cool cool. Well I can't ditch my 2 780 3Gs atm, but if I get a chance on a deal on some Tis or a couple black I'll definitely pick them up ^^
  3. Okay, and yeah wasn't going to get it anytime soon. Just curious so if I ever have the chance to have knowledge on this decision. I appreciate your help.
  4. So If I ever upgrade anything to make a huge difference wait a series or 2 and get another, more powerful, single GPU. Got it! ^^
  5. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the swift replies. Just been getting more into editing, 30 minute export times are kind of killer lol. I'll lower my bit rate and go from there as well.
  6. Cool. Definitely keeping the 2 780s, but I did want to know lol. Couldn't find anything on the interwebs comparing the two setups
  7. Okay, more ram I can do, faster processor is not as easy right now lol
  8. Just out of curiosity, which would perform better in Adobe Premiere Pro CC? ***Random side question. What can I do to make my export times go faster? Thanks, Nate
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone. I really appreciate them! I've found my kit and will post up some usage results here or something when I purchase it and it arrives. WooHoo!
  10. Lol, sort of . 2 instances if Windows server 2012 and a Linux box and rendering eat RAM
  11. Thanks for the quick replies, but let me see if I can clarify what I was trying to ask. I'm wanting to take out my current 16GB kit and toss it into my other rig, then purchase a 32GB kit and have it in this system. I'm using all of my 16GB right now and really could use more. This is a Virtual Machine monster. I do quite a lot of things on it for my school and i render some 4k video and 120fps 1080p video and it takes quite a lot of RAM. I hope this helps.
  12. Hey everyone, I'm starting to do more editing/rendering and virtualizations so I’m needing to upgrade to more RAM. I currently have a 16GB (4x4GB) kit of G.Skill Ripjaws Z 2133MHz. I’m looking for another G.Skill kit but 32GB (4x8GB) of 2400MHz. I’m not sure which kit to get. It’s going to be paired with my 3930k @4.8GHz and will mostly all be utilized. Preferred purchase site is Newegg.com so if you could link to a kit there, if any one is particularly better than the other, that would be great! Thanks in advance, Nate J
  13. could you include 2x8gb kit of ram 1600MHz+ please, because so far i'm liking this a lot lol
  14. cool cool, i'm liking the responses....could someone do one solely on newegg please? i'd like to see the options there so i don't have to purchase from so many different merchants. ^^
  15. will the gtx 680 classified fit in that case? just curious lol
