I think theres bigger issues than just that one example.
Its part of a wider trend.

Also the conflicts of interest and other problems run a lot deeper and i personally stopped watching when i saw how he was exploiting his business contacts and employees at LTT to renovate his house.
I mean this did not sit well with me.

So a little bit of background, my freind has been gaming on console and a 2017 macbook air 🤮 I know. And for his birthday I worked with people to fund a pc build for him with a i3 9100f and a rx570 the ram and storage came from my prebuilt that I upgraded.
All was going well aside from the cheap case sucking to build in until it didn't post. So I tested the gpu and it was fine, I tested the psu, also fine then I finally checked the socket.
There was cat hair and 1 ever so slightly bent pin
I cleaned it and it runs fine now

    I did something stupid, haha.

Recently bought a Zotac 980ti Amp GPU.  It worked fine. Gamed on it for a few days before realizing my processor sucked. So i switched my mobo to a z170 and i7 skylake.

So here's what I did wrong. The heatsink for the Zotac card is huge, and doesnt fit in my custom case I made out of steel. So I bought a Corsair bracket to utilize a Corsair Hydro water cooler.
One of the holes on the card didn't line up with the hole on the bracket. (Design flaw I think.) And the screw needs to be there, or else the card bends when you screw down the water pump to the card.
So I masked off the card, and put it in my drill press and moved the hole just a tiny bit in. From what I can tell, I didnt drill through any circuits on the card. But now when I use the card on my brand new motherboard, The monitor won't boot. (keyboard and mouse both stay lit up, and the gpu fan is getting power) I know the board is fine, because I tested another gpu on it, and tested the 980ti on my friends board. (same problem).

I realize that I probly broke it, Just looking for other possible scenarios.  You can all mock me if you wish. Thanks!

any of those coolers are a good, another choice is to go with the nh-d15 but you said that you have had bad experience with noctua. Personally I would go with the Fuma 2 or the Arctic Freezer because they are compact and have really good cooling power

    CPU: R5 3600

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi
    SSDs:
          1) Sabrent Rocket 512 GB NVme (boot drive and game storage)
          2) Silicon Power A55 1TB SATA SSD (game storage)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB (overflow storage)
    GPU: RTX 2060 Super

Power Supply: Corsair CX 2017 650 Watt Non-Modular Bronze
Optical Drive:   LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer

The optical drive is mainly a result of me having DVDs and having had a bad experience with the external optical drive I bought for my laptop. I also don't like having only 512 GB to start with so that's why I went with all the extra storage. If I could redo this, I probably would have made sure to spend the extra on a modular power supply for easier cable management. I know my cable management isn't the best but it's not Verge level so I've got that going for me at least.

Hey there. My first build was kind of a niche/edge case? I split the build into three stages, mostly because I made the last thing I bought the computer case.

    General Tips:
A magnetic tray or an organized work space is useful for keeping track of all your case screws. Don't forget the motherboard I/O shield. Check if your case comes with pre-installed standoffs, make sure you install the ones you need for your MOBO form factor. Depending on how much room your case has, it might be a good idea to connect the power cables to your components first, before you connect the cables to the PSU.

    Depends.
Personally, I put lots of love into my PC builds (cable management, treating everything like it's made of gold, etc.) not because the PC needs it, but because it's fun to do and I want to take care of my parts. If you build like that (which as a first time builder, I'm pretty sure you will), then expect the build to take several hours. If you just want to get something up-and-running, only 30-60mins if you know what you're doing.

Watch tutorials first, don't force anything (except for PSU connectors, which do actually need some force sometimes especially for the 24-pin), and ask questions if you're unsure about something.

If you get that cooler and the store you bought it from has a cooler they got in 2019 or later, it will come with the bracket you need.

PCPP warns you, just in case the store has a (significantly) old sample of this cooler in stock.

Seems okay. Would definitely recommend an SSD in addition to the hard drive, otherwise windows and loading applications might be sluggish. Also, faster ram might not hurt as ryzen does seem to like faster ram. And lastly, if it can fit your budget, go for 1650 super. Little bit of extra performance and I don't think it costs too much more.
