  1. Hello friends, I’m getting ready to do some custom water cooling in my rig and mulling over adding in a third m.2 SSD to have all the slots populated and getting me a total of 6 terabytes of on board storage, I currently have two 2tb sabrent rocket gen 4, one is boot drive and the other is added storage and I wanna put the 3rd one in and test while I don’t have to worry about the glass tubes and water goin everywhere. The conundrum here is I’d like to run it as Raid0 so it all shows up as one drive, I know this would mean formatting my drives so the issue now becomes to backup my documents and copying my windows 11 install to a sata drive, and then retransfer it onto the m.2 array, so how does one successfully copy a windows install? Thank you for any input.
  2. thanks for the info, i'll message EVGA tomorrow and see, also i'll be more careful in the future
  3. oh its just my experience that warranty doesn't really cover it if it's a clear case of user error, just trying to see how much it could cost,
  4. so what would i say is the reason for the rma "i was playin New World and poof" lol
  5. Hey there friends, I really did stepped in it this time and i might need to replace my EVGA 3080 TI FTW3 card, to summarize i was having a good time had a few drinks and i thought it would be a good idea to tweak with my gpu's overclock settings in MSI Afterburner, i slipped up and set my core voltage to 100 MV, resulting in the rgb strip flashings all weird and a funny smell coming from my pc, miraculously it still boots up and im still able to use it as i usually do still games fine if you don't mind the three fans always spinning at max speed sounding like a dyson, and the loss of rgb recognition or control as well, besides that the software still sees it as a working gpu and i can still tweak the clocks, I just cant tune down the fans or see any RGB besides the 4 red LEDs above the plugs that says I'm in deep sh!%. I'm pretty sure i cooked it by being drunk and inexperienced, the question here is do I try to contact EVGA directly and see how much it would cost to fix (if that's even an option) or is there any individual shop that would take a shot at untangling my mess? thanks for any input
  6. hey friends, here's a pickle, I've just been fiddling around with the oc settings on my new Ryzen 5950x custom build, I'm not really sure what I did, I wanted to try my base speed at 4.5ghz and tweaked some of the limits, and when I booted up everything was doin fine as expected, and running some test I was getting great scores, then I took a call and the pc went to sleep, when I came back and woke it up the cpu running speed shows up in task manager as 5.94ghz, base speed still at 4.5ghz, after making sure it was running at normal temps I tried a few runs in timespy and cinabench 23 and completely annihilated the score board never running hotter than i feel safe, then I restarted and looked at the bios and the settings were still where I had set them, so upon booting up the base speed and running speed returned to 4.5ghz, I manually put it to sleep after I woke it up I get 5.94ghz running speed and dominating the benchmarks again, I know there's plenty I don't understand, but if someone can explain what settings I accidentally stumbled onto to get this result, id like to actually set it on purpose. AMD Ryzen 9 5950x @ 4.5ghz MSI Godlike MEG X570 64GB (4x16) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600 @ 3800mhz EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 Ti toggled to OC
  7. Hello friends, I just got my first laptop pc which is also the first battery operated piece of tech I truly care about and I’m trying to make sure I don’t shorten it’s lifespan, I know it’s ok to leave the power plugged in overnight, what I’m curious on is: is it harmful to not let the battery drop below a certain percentage? Should it be allowed to drain closer to 0 before plugging it back in? MSI dragon center has this setting that lets it drop to 40% and only charges it to 60%, should I use this? Thank you for any input. MSI GE76 Dragon Tiamat 11UH-282
  8. hello friends, i'm reaching out asking about monitors this time, i play FPS Games like Halo and racing sims, as well watch netflix and doing my taxes on my current set up running an Nvidia 2080TI (im planning on upgrading to the 3000 series later) on three "HP2311x" TN 75hz flats from 2010 , YUP it's time to upgrade and this time im thinking about going single ultra wide, and from the research im doin im thinking my high mark is gonna be $1500, 32-35," 4k is not necessary, HDR Yes, IPS would be preferable, definitely needs at least 100Hz, response time is negligible (im not good enough for it to matter LMFAO) so my question is Curved VS Flat, i dont know anyone in my area into high end gaming, and not really any show rooms here. any input is appreciated, thanks friends
  9. hey guys i've got a question about some monitors ive been looking into, and trying to figure out which option i should go for, my current setup is three ancient TN 24 inch 60hz hooked up to my NVIDIA 2080 Ti through HDMI conversion cables.... ya i badly need an upgrade, so i think im goin with a 34 inch curved IPS. but i have choice between G-sync specifically working with my graphics card, or a free-sync monitor with G-sync compatibility, aside from the obvious lower price and working with other GPUs, would there be a downside to getting a free-sync, thanks for any help
  10. Just like shutting off and starting a car multiple times, lol thank you friends
  11. $300x2 kits of 64(2x32) totaling to 128gb
  12. Hello friends I’m using a Corsair Vengeance pro rgb ram kit, as some others have posted the rgb stays lit and running its programed light show while in sleep mode, its understood that sleep mode powers Ram regardless of rgb and my rig is in a room which no one sleeps in so NBD if there’s a laser show goin on at night, my family find it entertaining, before I had the rgb kit I rarely let sleep mode kit in, usually I’d turn the pc off as I go to bed or leave the house, since it’s cool to watch my ram flicker it’s cool red/blue rainfall I’ve been thinkin about using sleep mode more often, I’m just wondering if it would harm the rams in anyway to stay on like that, I’d hate to have to put a $600 ram kit in jeopardy just to entertain my family members while I’m not at home. Thank you for any inputs
  13. That would be a “cool” system, lmao, but I think I’ll stop after the two GPUs and CPU are looping
