Who dare wakest me from mine slumber!?
I can tell you right now, get a set of these. Also, it never hurts to get a set of 80mm fans. If you want it to sit on the floor so it doesn't take desktop space, you can flip the PSU and the 80mms will provide air for it. Unless you have extremely high pile carpet/rug where it would sit, the sleds will work fine on the floor and with cats. With the 80mm fans, air will blow out from the sleds. They really did a good job at designing the air flow of this chassis, if you block off the openness of it. I used black gaff tape to block the bottom and sides. and everything stays very cool.

I can tell you the 80mm bottom fans are kinda silly unless you're using those dual 8TB drives a lot, then it's good for keeping them somewhat cool. @dual290x was looking at a similar config but I'm not sure what he ended up with.

If you're hiding this PC away, the non chromax versions of those fan would being costs down a bit. Alternatively, Arctic P12 and P14 fans would be good budget options to consider as they perform similarly in terms of airflow and noise.

I actually wouldn't mind having to rent my modem if it meant that Comcrap owned up to taking responsibility/ownership of the screwy firmware on it. (also, actually renting just the modem, not modem+router+AP AIO)

I meant I hadn't bothered to look 'cause of the privacy and other concerns mentioned at the beginning of the video.

The way I see it it's less than a $10/mo subscription would be for 2 years, and it's your own hardware for the foreseeable future
(Edit: I should mention I've never considered using Ring so I have no idea what their rates are)

That HAF XB is actually a pretty decent case if you're only doing air cooling, although you can mount a 240/280 AIO in the front of the thing. The fact that it puts all the extra gear UNDERNEATH the mobo tray makes cable organization great and lets you hide stuff nicely. It's also a great presentation case since it lets you show off your mobo up top from all sides. Take the panels off and you now have a stackable test bench. Stack multiple cases on top of each other and you can even have a small mining/folding rig or separate media/work server set up in a corner of your room.

It's a very unique and versatile case - probably reason why it gets all the thumbs up. Good job CM for keeping it on sale!

Let's not also forget that it's a HORIZONTAL motherboard layout - important if you have two really heavy GPU's in there, your board doesn't have reinforced PCIE slots or you just happen to transport the thing around a lot. Keeping your motherboard horizontal has it's advantages

The biggest drawback with the HAF XB is if you want to do serious water cooling, and this is where cases like the CaseLabs S8S had it beat, since that one gave you fan/rad mounts in the roof and also downstairs with an add-on pedestal. I have the larger S8 with pedestal and after 6 years of use I can say it's one of the best cases for custom water cooling ever made, and maybe one of only three with a horizontal motherboard layout (Mountain Mods and the very limited run TX10-H being the other).

Seriously though, that's pretty good for a noctua themed build.

Even though Ubuntu Touch was dropped by Canonical, it was picked up by the community, so its development is still ongoing, and the selection of devices on which it can run is pretty decent: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/
I tried to install it on my Nexus 5, and it is very close to be daily-driver ready. Would you mind looking at it?

Discord is just badly coded. This falls down to it not using OS defaults for fonts, scroll bar and window limits. I had issues with DisplayFusion and Discord, DF support fixed it by blacklisting Discord from maximizing.
