  1. I've never done a roll back before, but I figure it wouldn't be too complicated. I'll give it a shot if nothing else works
  2. I updated BIOS about 2 months ago, and chipsets should all be updated as well, I did that not too long ago either, and no change occurred, still the same issues. A fresh install may be smart. Could it be that I'm running Windows 11 "beta" since it was the free upgrade from windows 10? No idea. I could do a complete reset via windows, that's just annoying as I have got to find place for photos and videos I have stored on here.
  3. Here are my crystaldiskinfo results, looks good to me I don't see a problem. Is there some sort of scan I am supposed to run with it? EDIT: I ran a crystaldisktest and checked info, the only thing that changed is temp went up to 43.
  4. These are my results for my primary drive. Looks good to me unless I'm missing something.
  5. Ok I am running it as I right this. What exactly should I be looking for? Will there be an error that pops up or something?
  6. Hello! I have been having an issue for months now, and I'm at wits end. I've poured too much money into this computer for me to not play the games I want to. Most games I play, aside from a few, crash consistently from 30 minutes to even an hour or two into the game. It's every single game I play, other than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Which I find to be extremely odd being that game is somewhat intensive itself, probably more so than others I play. Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Lego Batman 1, (yes 1, the first one) Halo Infinite, It Takes Two, Apex Legends, etc, all crash! They simply just stop, and I get thrown to desktop in the middle of my session. Occasionally, it'll even just sign me out which is super weird. It's almost like a partial restart, but just to the sign in page, it's not fully rebooting. Anyway, most of the time it's only to desktop. I have ran numerous stress tests on my GPU and CPU, and found no issues. I ran memtest86 and found no issues. I disabled XMP, and I've tried all sorts of settings changes I find on YouTube. I also did numerous windows repairs and windows reinstalls. The only thing I can think is maybe a faulty power supply, as the one I have I bought used many years ago. So I ordered a new one, but I would think a psu issue would make me shut down or restart, not just stop the program. SPECS: 7800xt Hellhound, 32gb 3600mhz Trident Z Ram, Ryzen 5 3600, MSI MAG B550, and an 850w thermaltake psu. PLEASE HELP!!! THANK YOU!
  7. Woah, i did it and I did not know how easy that was. Thank you! Did a +150 core and +300 mem, and it has seemed to boost performance a little. Thank you for your help!
  8. So about 2 years ago or so, I bought a gtx 1070 from a guy on craigslist, who used the card to mine. He said he had it at 90% power to reduce stress on it. This is back when you could get a 1070 for $200. Anyway, ever since then, I feel like mine isn't getting the same results as other 1070s I see on YouTube, or from other friends and stuff who have them. I became more aware of this when my Dad, who also had a 1070 at the time, was playing at 1440p and was getting around 70 fps or something in a game that I can't remember. I looked at my fps at 1080p, and I was getting well under that, like low 60s high 50s.. Your first thought might be that my cpu is underpowered, it's not, I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600. and my Ram is plenty fast, G.Skill 16gb at 3600mhz. With all this said, could it be that the GPU is still running at %90 power like the guy had it set? If so, how would I see that? Any way to test it? (I'm welcome to any input or corrections for anything I have said.) Thank you in advance
  9. anyone know how to get rid of the bar right above the search bar? the one that has phone, text, contacts, Google chrome, and camera. No matter where you swipe it stays there, I would like it to just stay on the screen that it's on if that makes sense. I know this is more of a computer site but maybe someone knows what to do? Thank you
  10. Do you remember what settings you were running with? That might be my problem.
  11. Ok, so I bet this question has been asked before, but thought I'd ask anyway. I currently have a R5 3600 and a GTX 1070. The gtx 1070 has been great for years, but I noticed I am starting to turn things down to low to get a solid 80 fps which is what I would want with my 144hz monitor. For example, I play a lot of COD MW, and at medium high settings, when action gets crazy my frames dip down to the 40s. I guess I'll just get to the question. I want to upgrade to a 3070 but I think I'll have huge bottleneck at 1080p with that much power. So would it be a bad idea to have an R5 3600 and RTX 3070 at 1080p 144hz? Is the 3070 way overkill?? Should I opt for a rtx 2070 or wait for the 3060 instead? I plan to not upgrade for 3-5 years. Thank you for reading!
  12. So right now I am currently running a ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1070 for 1080p 144hz. My dad plays at 1440p however and is planning to upgrade from his gtx 1070 soon. He told me he would give me that card, so heres my question: can I SLI two GTX 1070's from different brands? (One being MSI and the other being Gigabyte) Thanks for reading!
  13. In more graphically intense games, i'd like to hit 60+fps. However in more competitive fast paced titles that usually don't look as great, 100+fps is where I would like to sit.
  14. Hello, right now I am running a R5 3600 paired with a GTX 1070 at 1080p 144hz. Am I going to have to upgrade my GPU soon? I want to play triple A titles with ease at 1080p. Right now my GTX 1070 seems to be handling 1080p gaming just fine. But in how many years do you think I will start having issues with the best titles out there? I'm asking as I do not want to spend any money on the system for the next 3 years. Thanks for reading!
  15. My computer is faster in every way except our GPU is the same. Yes I am copying from and to a SSD. Are the USB drivers just in the Windows settings somewhere if they did need a update?
