  1. Thank you all very much, that relieved me quite a bit lol. I figured as much but I know next to nothing about power draw
  2. The EVGA 650gq is one beefy PSU, it will handle the 2080ti or equivalent (maybe even higher tier) ampere card waaay fine. You're not running an OC'ed i7 anyway.

  3. Hi everyone, I apologize if this is a common question or is a stupid question but I want to know if my PSU will be enough to handle my system with a 2080ti or possibly an ampere card when they release. First of all, my PC: I7-8700(non k) seems to draw 80w max Z390 aorus ultra 16gb 3200mhz Trident z RGB 970 Evo plus 500gb 860 Evo 1tb 4x RGB fan EVGA 650gq 80+ gold(648w on 12v rail) GTX 1070 (for now) I don't know what my current system draw is under load until I get a meter for it so I can't really guesstimate what it would be with a 2080 ti. Using my brain and wattage calculators it seems that with the 2080 ti, my system would draw on average 500-550 watts so in my mind it seems fine, but I wanted to ask people that more than likely know more than me about it first before I buy anything. Tldr: is a 650 watt psu enough to handle my system with a 2080 ti with enough headroom to be safe from spikes Thanks
