  1. Thanks for the answer! I decided to just accept my fate and not play latency depended games. Soon I’ll have my gaming setup with wifi 5 or wifi 6 hopefully.
  2. I have a problem with my internet quality, which is that everytime I play an online game on my laptop that heavily depends on the latency (such as rocket league or valorant), the internet gets worse over time. It starts with short, barely noticeable ping spikes, and slowly transforms into a ping constantly fluctuating between 200-500 ping and heavy packet loss, making my games unplayable. I haven’t had this problem on any other device. The laptop has a 2.4 ghz Wifi adapter only. the problem has always been here since my mom moved to a new house. any idea how to fix this or what causes it? I know Ethernet is the best solution, but I’d rather connect via wifi.
  3. I’m out of solutions then, but I’m not so handy with software soooo imma leave lol.
  4. Imma ask the shitty question; did you click “refresh” in the win10 install screen? Sometimes it doesn’t detect some drives right away.
  5. Have you tried a different GPU? are you 100% sure no other components are faulty? is the cpu 8 pin plugged in correctly?
  6. The prices are wrong with your build, with pounds you still have 42£ left. and as Jurrunio said, the PSU isn’t the best and the 212 evo is old. here’s an “modified” build; (BTW, you could go for a 500Gb M2 if you don’t need that much storage and want faster storage) PCPartPicker Part List CPU: *AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£159.00 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 34 CPU Cooler (£23.73 @ Overclockers.co.uk) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (£114.98 @ CCL Computers) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory (£67.39 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Crucial BX500 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£28.98 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£33.95 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB OC Video Card (£209.99 @ Amazon UK) Case: Corsair SPEC-DELTA RGB ATX Mid Tower Case (£64.95 @ AWD-IT) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£102.62 @ Amazon UK) Total: £805.59 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available *Lowest price parts chosen from parametric criteria Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-07-29 20:38 BST+0100
  7. Hey, I’ve finally settled on the node 202, exited to build! I’m waiting for prices to settle down currently, before ordering. (And whilst I am waiting, i might as well wait for 4th gen ryzen.)
  8. But if I don’t want to mod, which one is best then?
  9. Ahh case modding, not really a big fan but will look into it
  10. I can’t go for custom parts and cooling is not really good most of the times. and pc building Is what I like to do.
  11. My parents are divorced, so for my new build I want to go mini-itx, so I can use it at both houses instead of building 2 separate pc’s. Im looking for a portable case with sufficient airflow, but I’m new to mini-itx, so I came for advice. pc case budget; max 250 including extra fans? im currently looking at the node 202/SG13/TU150, are those good enough?
  12. That’s the refresh rate of the monitor you have.
  13. If you don’t mind the slower response time (5 ms) definitely get an adapter. 1080p 75hz will be enough for your rig. When buying new get 144 hz or 1440p, but an 480 isn’t going to be great for 1440p. An adapter would be wise here.
  14. If listed it for 5 bucks, if it doesn’t sell within a week I’ll throw it away
  15. Guess I’ll look if anybody is looking for this and otherwise just list it for the 30 and wait?
  16. So what should I sell it like? Or should I just throw it away or just go for personal use?
  17. But what is it worth? You’re saying its purpose is just an home pc like any other but without sound? (Passive cooling)
  18. I build and flip pc’s as a side hustle, and recently bought a super cheap pc (I wanted the case/psu/hdd), and this thing came within it. anybody know what it exactly is and it’s value/purpose? Seller told me the pc had been running as a router. The board also came with what looks to be an add-on ethernet Port But I might be wrong, so I included it on the pictures (I thought it might belong to the board). the stuff I do have figured out is the following; it’s a mobo with an intel Atom inside, only 24 pin power. The board uses DDR2 (came with 2x1 800 MHz) it’s OEM? (The green pcb makes me suspect that) soooo, again; anybody know what it exactly is and it’s value and what you can use it for?
  19. It’s a hell of an beast with those CPU’s n stuff. Transplanting server/workstation motherboards to a new case is hard because of the size. Sometimes the sizes are even proprietary. As long as your colleague doesn’t mind the looks and the pc is not running hot you’re fine. honestly, the graphics card is the only “weak-point” but when editing photo’s it’s not used often. I think you’re fine. might add a 1 TB HDD for storage?
  20. Even if it’s some shitty OEM, 500W sounds safe
  21. Most models don’t have a connector for external power, however, if your PSU doesn’t even have a 6 pin, are you sure it will handle the extra 75 watts?
  22. NP i know the pain of a seemingly non functioning webcam (back when everything for school had to be online)
  23. Found this for you; https://insider.razer.com/index.php?threads/razer-blade-15-webcam-stops-working.57118/ sorry for the bad news, but apparently this model is known for dead webcams.
  24. My laptop had comparable issues; it appeared you could toggle it on or off with a keyboard combination, and I accidentally toggled it off, making it disappear out off device manager. Maybe try searching if you can toggle it on off?
