  1. So as this article state's colourful have gone and made an interesting SSD not by going faster or with greater storage but by the size of the actual SSD itself and personally I would love to see the team take a look at this! Find the article below; https://www.pcgamer.com/colorful-sl500-mini-ssd/
  2. He might be able to hand it back if bought from a store and get his money back.
  3. it's most likely going to be used to supplement gps or have a GPS type tech added to it as the UK is one of 3 major country's invested in Galileo from a developing technology side and investment plus i believe one of the biggest satellite manufacturing country's in the world so have the know how on it all.
  4. UK government is possiblyooking to invest in a LEO company called OneWeb which is a UK company based in the USA as part of the deal however the company would be required to move its manufacturing back to the UK and its headquarters too. Other companies are looking into bidding for the company including Amazon. OneWeb already has some Satellites in orbit but recently filed for bankruptcy in the USA due to Covid19 but has already invested more than £3billion into the company. I think it's a good idea by the British company personally. Link to the article: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2020/06/government-to-splash-500m-on-oneweb-broadband-satellites.html
  5. Obviously another thing you could do is take it to a friends house and see if you encounter similar problems there too. If i was a buying new networking hardware I'd look into a mesh system from Asus as they are really versatile.
  6. All I can suggest is possibly get rid of the isp equipment all together and go and buy your own?
  7. Firstly depends on which country your from. But if your in the UK then I'd suggest calling your local council and asking for advice regarding a rogue landlord
  8. If its cost effective this maybe a good upgrade for people harnessing AMD platforms
  9. Just for clarification I do not for one second believe this 5g kills you rubbish in fact I am already harnessing 5g but I thought we could all do with a laugh as the BBC tear down a rather expensive bit of bioshield that protects from 5g and other harmful radiation to find its noting more than a pen drive. Please find the article below. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52810220
  10. Yeah this is true although I have a wifi 6 mesh system currently and I am definitely benefitting from it as I have gone from getting 30mbps in someplace's to receiving the full 365mbps down i get via ethernet now through WiFi which i cannot complain about at all and the latency is 1ms more than ethernet which is madness and negligible.
  11. I would personally go Asus and get a WiFi 6 capable router for two reasons. 1) Asus routers allow you to add another Asus one to it to create a mesh network. 2)Wifi 6 is the best for traffic management and is the latest WiFi tech which means your future proofing for years to come.
  12. I thought we had it bad in the UK but I think with how our government is approaching broadband to be as important as any other utility has had a tremendous effect on the market place and have promised to get gigabit capability to 100% of the UK in the next decade. I currently get 356 mbps download with virgin media however a alt net called city fibre are planning on laying its network into my area which will allow 1 gbps download, Virgin are close to upgrading it's network to this however virgin use Dosics technology whereas City fibre are FTTP so are symmetrical and also the biggest company in British Telecom (BT for short) have also begun FTTP in my area and I live in a small town and 5G has also just been turned on in my area too. This is becoming the norm in the UK pretty fast and I for one aren't complaining also as of next year ISP's are required to get 10mbps download and 1 mbps upload to every property by law at a minimum. Please find a test over my WiFi (WiFi router is the Asus mesh system that is WiFi 6 capable) and one via 5G.
  13. Usually newer cards run more efficiently and use less power as they tend to use a smaller nm process. Might be worth waiting.
  14. you could probably get a 1660 for similar price which is better if your looking to buy
