I think that the criticism against this project is coming from people who doesn't actually need this product. If I had problems with walking or other stuff I would pray for this to work and to get one.

ZuppaSalata got a reaction from WkdPaul in Nvidia Crypto mining cards are now on sale (and they are extremely overpriced).
    Summary
After being announced by Nvidia over a month ago, their entry-level crypto mining card is now available and can be purchased for "only" ~720$.
This card is based on Turing architecture, has 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and can reach 26 MH/s mining Ehereum.

I really don't understand this product.
I think that the card itself is pretty bad (26 MH/s is lower than a RX 580), also the fact that is being sold for 720$ is a complete joke since you can buy an RX 580 for 300/400$ and that would have a higher hashrate, higher efficiency and a resell value. Who's going to pay 720$ for literally a piece of e-waste ?
Also the fact that the 3060 can now mine Ethereum really doesn't help.

ZuppaSalata got a reaction from linuxChips2600 in Nvidia Unhackable RTX 3060 anti-miners driver has just been hacked (this time for real)
    Summary
It's been less than 30 days since the launch of the RTX 3060 and Nvidia's anti-miners drivers have been unlocked (this time for real)
Now the card is able to reach 40/45 MH/s which is almost double the hashrate allowed by the stock Nvidia drivers.
Phonix Miners Dev said that even tho this is a huge upgrade, the card is not working at its full potential, so we might see even higher hashrates in the future.

As always Nvidia likes to make big claims. I'm curiosus to see what is going to be their next move with the 3070ti and 3080ti. Will they make another "unhackable" software ? I don't think so

I like how AMD is not slowing down after the recent success of 5000 series. Next Gen Intel seems to be a massive improve over 10 gen series, so Lisa Su needs to keep pulling cards out of her sleeve if she wants to stay on the top.
I hope this battle keeps going since we are the real winners.
