Elon Musk's Neuralink says this monkey is playing Pong with its mind
ZuppaSalata replied to arnavvr's topic in Tech News
I think that the criticism against this project is coming from people who doesn't actually need this product. If I had problems with walking or other stuff I would pray for this to work and to get one. -
Summary After being announced by Nvidia over a month ago, their entry-level crypto mining card is now available and can be purchased for "only" ~720$. This card is based on Turing architecture, has 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and can reach 26 MH/s mining Ehereum. Quotes My thoughts I really don't understand this product. I think that the card itself is pretty bad (26 MH/s is lower than a RX 580), also the fact that is being sold for 720$ is a complete joke since you can buy an RX 580 for 300/400$ and that would have a higher hashrate, higher efficiency and a resell value. Who's going to pay 720$ for literally a piece of e-waste ? Also the fact that the 3060 can now mine Ethereum really doesn't help. Summary It's been less than 30 days since the launch of the RTX 3060 and Nvidia's anti-miners drivers have been unlocked (this time for real) Now the card is able to reach 40/45 MH/s which is almost double the hashrate allowed by the stock Nvidia drivers. Phonix Miners Dev said that even tho this is a huge upgrade, the card is not working at its full potential, so we might see even higher hashrates in the future. Quotes My thoughts As always Nvidia likes to make big claims. I'm curiosus to see what is going to be their next move with the 3070ti and 3080ti. Will they make another "unhackable" software ? I don't think so Sources https://videocardz.com/newz/pc-watch-geforce-rtx-3060-ethereum-mining-restrictions-have-been-broken

Well I hope his parents will save the money for his future...

I'm surprised he didn't lol

xqc is a content machine. People like watching him fail and get angry. If you want someone to build a crazy pc in the right way just watch... Btw I liked the video. A collab with xqc could also be fun.

Is it just me or are Nvidia HX mining cards a joke?
ZuppaSalata replied to Cris.py's topic in Graphics Cards
Yeah they are pretty bad. With a 3060ti/3070 you can get 60 MH/s with around 120W. I think the only decent one might be the 90HX, but we have to see how much it costs and how much power it draws (3080/3090 reach 100/120 MH/s, but the power draw is very high). I wonder if nvidia will upgrade the memory junction cooling, since with 30' cards reach 100/105 °C unless you manually change the thermal pads -
Summary AMD will respond to the upcoming Intel Alder Lake Processors with a series of Zen 3+ based processors in 2021 and then in 2022 with the brand new Zen 4 architecture. Zen 3+ is expected to be AMD's first AM5 CPU design. Rumors are talking about a 5/7% IPC increase, while there could be a massive 25% IPC increase with Zen 4. Quotes My thoughts I like how AMD is not slowing down after the recent success of 5000 series. Next Gen Intel seems to be a massive improve over 10 gen series, so Lisa Su needs to keep pulling cards out of her sleeve if she wants to stay on the top. I hope this battle keeps going since we are the real winners. Acceptable Junction Temperature for a 5700xt?
ZuppaSalata replied to TheBahrbarian's topic in Graphics Cards
I have a POWERCOLOR RX 5700 Red Dragon and I try to keep my temps under 75/80 °C (both gpu and juntion temps) with 50/60% fan speed . Even if AMD says that it can reach 110 °C, I think that everything over 100°C or even 95°C is not going to be healthy for the gpu
