I have a 4,000 W inverter with eight 6V 220Ah golf-cart batteries in series. The cost for this setup was about $1600. For me, it ensures 100% electricity uptime for 5 computers and some 100 hard drives. I put it on a steel rack, set the rack on 1000-lb casters, and have good mobility and access as well. And i don't have to call anyone to fix it. It's very simple and modular. Discuss?

What is the USB card with 4 controllers that fixed Linus' issue in the May 10 video? This is the most interesting part of the video, because i connect and disconnect USB devices to VMWare and if i do it too much or too fast i can bluescreen the whole machine.

One reason is to play 1440p windowed on a 4k OLED screen. I posted about it on a new thread a few days ago. I am also looking for this but i can't find it anywhere.

If you run the game on Windowed Mode instead of Full Screen, then if you select 1440p resolution in the game, then it will only use 1440p on the monitor. If you wish to resize the 1440p output to fill your 4k screen, try to play in Full Screen Mode, and it should resize the 1440p rendering to fill the 4k monitor. So, that is a setting that i would test if you're still having issues.

I think a second graphics card would support additional output devices once you fill up the 4 ports on your first graphics card. What i really wonder is whether you could use a cheap GTX 1060 for additional outputs for your 5th display but drive the content output onto that display using your faster graphics card.

I loathe to buy USB docking stations because of poor USB driver support but the brand that has been least bad for me has been Plugable and i think they carry a product that allows you to connect many monitors via USB. That's a good first step for research.

Google DP1.4 to HDMI 2.1 converter and you will read it was supposed to be released sometime Q1 2020. I can't find any for sale. I need one to play on an OLED TV. I'm in the market to buy a display so that's why i need to know if it's available. I'm interested in playing 1440p 120Hz on a 4k display (windowed mode) The bandwidth limitations of HDMI prevent 4k 120Hz. But DisplayPort allows it. If i have only the 1440p updating on the screen and leave the borders of the screen black i imagine the bandwidth of the 1440p would fit within spec, but i don't think the system would allow it anyways. So far i have only tested Witcher 3 and it worked at 1440p on my 4k display in windowed mode. I'm interested in playing eye-candy story games like Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, God of War, etc. Ryzen 3800X and 1080 Ti in SLI.
