So install a macOS theme and be done :P Being able to set up Arch and developing an OS is still miles apart. Just saying that Elementary OS looks pretty much like what you want to do, so you'll be having competition in that regard.

Themes aren't a thing but yes I already have I mean compatibility wise

The second one is a touchscreen. That adds massive cost.

The laptop didn't seem to get very good reviews, I'd probably look at something else all together.

I'd get a 400 nit screen at least, if not the 1000. Nothing's worse than having a laptop that's hard to read.

Don't spend money on the SSD upgrade, buy your own and do it yourself.

Do you have a WiFi 6 router?

16GB is far from the minimum, especially for a laptop. You're not really going to be doing a ton of work on a 13" laptop.

Depends a lot on the person though. I constantly cap out 16GB.

Really? I find Windows is getting less bloated, not more.

Don't apologize. People need to realize that punctuation is important. Saying "it's just a forum!" is fine until you don't notice it's crept into a resume, and now you don't get the job (been there, seen it, thrown out the resume).

First off windows always gets more bloated and also too bad I really don't care about punctuation on a forum site to bad you can't read it idrc

If 16gb is the bare minimum, gamers would be running 32gb. 8GB is very usable on Windows, there are budget gamers running 8GB. As for editing, if it's serious, I would say 32. 16GB is still plenty for games. I've found that a lot of the game I play don't use over 10-12 GB while running.

which  is why in 2 years 16gb will be more usable than 8 end of story

That's not true in the slightest. A 3600 won't bottleneck a 2070 Super, and even on a 2080, the bottleneck will barely be noticeable. You should never go for last-gen hardware when there are current-gen offerings on the market for the same price.

ummm who said anything about a 2070 or 2080 here

Budget (including currency): none but not too expensive

    Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: all in one 70%gaming, 30% work

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I currently have the following parts

    Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200mhz

SSD: 500gb Samsung 970 evo plus
Chasis: Corsair Crystal 280x non rgb (bought cheap, second hand)

since the case is black, I will repaint it with white. here are my other preferred parts for my semi white themed rig.

    processor: Amd ryzen 5 3600

    motherboard: ? (Prefer white/black) b4550 or b550 only

GPU: Any white/black RTX 2060 super

    AIO: NZXT kraken x62

    Psu: ?

will buy ll120 fans from corsair and attached it to rad and top of the case

any other suggestions or reaction with this? I am choosing aio since it’s warm in our country and +10 aesthetics plus rgb lol.

Please help me, I am open for any suggestions you may imply.

    for a 2060 super a 3600 is overkill i suggest a 1600 af or a 2600

Are you looking to make an OS from scratch that is compatible with macOS, do you want a look-alike clone, or what is your goal exactly? A "debloat" script is a long way from making your own OS (whatever debloat is supposed to do, precisely).

If you want an OS from scratch that is compatible, it would most likely take a large team of experienced developers multiple years to get there. But you'll need a more fleshed out plan other than "I want to make an OS" to get there. Especially if you want to attract help from others.

i want mac os without the bloat and telemetry pretty much

Well this seems to the first time you have mentioned those complaints in this thread

Regardless, now that I know what you were unhappy about with your Pixel XL, I can confidently say you should be quite happy with the Mi 9T :)

thank you have a good day :)

Alright I hope you find the 9T to be an upgrade, for whatever you consider to be an upgrade.

Well like i said a pixel xl with 60 percent battery health and 32gb of storage with a snapdragon 820 isnt great so anything will be an upgrade LOL
