  1. GPU: MSI 4080 Gaming X Trio CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16gb 3200mhz CL16 Boot Drive: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 PSU: Corsair AX 1000 MB: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi Windows 10 Pro PC has worked 100% normal for months, but suddenly is experiencing intermittent power issues. Computer will go to sleep but then not come back on when prompted. Case lights all go off and power button light is off. But then after 10 or 15 minutes it will come back on no problem. PSU is only about a year, so I don't want to rush out and buy another one. Does anyone know of any tests I can run to either confirm a PSU issue or point me in another direction. OS and all drivers are up to date as of this post. Thanks in advance.
  2. Alrighty, so I did a fresh install of windows on a different drive with no effect. Used the DDU to wipe and then reinstall with no effect. So I got really frustrated and pulled a really silly financial decision. I went out and bought a 2070 super, MSI Gaming X. Everything works perfectly. Better than perfect cause its a great upgrade as well. Seems like at the end of the day it was a GPU issue. Basically have a whole new computer at this point. haha. But I really don't mind that. lol.
  3. Alright I will give that a shot this weekend. I don't think RMA is the answer though because this problem existed before the upgrade. Seems like it is becoming more frequent since the upgrade though, hence why I am thinking about other hardware. Yes this problem has been incredibly difficult. But I thank you for sticking with it and giving me more ideas of what to do. I appreciate it immensely.
  4. I did do a fresh install when the problem originally came about. I could try doing another another fresh install on a different M.2 in the system.
  5. Drivers are all up to date currently, BIOS included, though I am not running the beta version that is currently out. Alt/Tab is an offender but I wouldn't say its the main issue at all. Whilst playing the would say that often times the sound will cut out first, followed by the system freezing. I can alt tab and get to just a black screen. is I CTRL ALT DEL it will give me the blue selection screen but no matter what I click on it goes no where. Also if I am not in game I can often get the performance tab to open after using CTRL ALT DEL but it doesn't monitor the system as the system slowly freezes. This is also when I will often see my GPU registered and stuck at -1%.
  6. Update for that unfortunately. Even with my 2 new sticks running at 2133 it still happens.
  7. I've managed to try with a few other games now too and they cause the same issue. Could this be a gpu issue? Or a PSU issue?
  8. Sorry I don't understand what a page file setup is. Also no the not all the memory is being used up.
  9. no known issue and the game is up to date. It seems to be the only reliable spot that causes the issue but it does happen as well whilst exporting video.
  10. Spoke too soon. Launched Fallout 76 and after 5 minutes of play same issue and back to it happening right after boot. Tried clearing the cmos again with no effect.
  11. So I am hesitant at this point to say this, however, so far this is working.
  12. Well I can't believe Im saying this again, but it is back again. A few days of zero issues and couldn't force it to happen with the usual processes. Now its happening a few minutes after rebooting, every single time. At this point I have replaced MB, CPU, and RAM. Basically have a whole new computer...
  13. So I bought a 2x16gb kit at the 3200 CL16 that you recommended and it has been working flawlessly since. I did still have to set voltage to 1.45 and SOC to 1.1 for the system to allow 3200 to boot.
  14. Alrighty. I may honestly just do that and see if I see an improvement as I am still having issues whilst fiddling with the timings.
  15. I tried a few other frequencies and had no change either. I am still pluggin away at different combinations. But I have to ask myself, I use this PC for work, do I just get a different ram kit? This is definitely costing me time.
