  1. Yeah that's why I think it's the cpu, I'm sending it back tomorrow
  2. I've checked the prongs on the socket and tried each channel for the ram, I haven't tried using a stick with a lower mhz as I don't have any that would work with the mobo. I'm at such a loss with this, never seen anything like it
  3. Yeah I've tried resetting it and put thermal paste on everytime
  4. So basically I was playing on my new computer and all was working fine for about a week. Last week I was playing the forest and the entire system shut down and now I can't get it to work. I've gone through so many post on here to try and get this fixed but nothing has helped. Physically the computer looks like it should function as normal, all lights are on and all fans spin on each part, but nothing comes on the screen. What I've tried: - replacing the psu(was the only thing I didn't upgrade, thought that should've been an obvious fix) - restarting CMOS(shorting the pins and taking out the battery for a few minutes) - I've tried my old gpu but i got nothing - have only 1 stick of ram and cpu installed to see if I can even get post but nothing(also tried moving the ram to other slots) My specs are: - Asus prime z390-A - intel i7 9300k - Gigabyte 2080 super - 16gb ripjaws ddr4-3200 - Corsair 850w psu(new one) - Corsair H100x liquid cooler - 2 HDD and 1 SSD - windows 10 At this point I think it could be the cpu because the motherboard is still getting power to everything else but I'm also worried the entire system could just be fried from the random shutdown
