  1. Assuming this got buried a bit Still looking for help on this one
  2. Hopefully, I can get some good recommendations for this stuff I am looking for. The glorious mouse is a good idea, I am just unsure about it. Definitely could use some more help on this setup.
  3. Sorry moderator TVwazhere. Won't happen again. Thank you for fixing this. I thought about the Glorious models but I was concerned about the holes in the back being uncomfortable or collecting dirt of sorts. Then again I would sooner go with the glorious mouse than I would that coolermaster as I like the way they look more. It's a good recommendation but like you said its a lot to deal with also, I am not a big fan of all the side buttons less I can freely remove them of sorts which those appear to be firmly attached. Don't really need a huge amount of buttons as the main MMO I play with skill bars is just Final Fantasy 14, least for now until something else shows up.
  4. I am also looking for a good mouse. I play a huge wide range of gaming, pretty much everything except sports. I tend to use my mouse with a palm grip and have a pretty good sized hand so I really don't want a tiny mouse. RGB is welcomed I just want something that performs incredibly well and is built sturdy. Budget at $150 maximum Additionally, a good comfortable padded wrist rest that looks good alongside a good mousepad as a gamer preferably in XXL size with a good looking aesthetic and good for a gamer who plays generally all kinds of gamers. I don't like the plastic pads or speed pads so I was looking more into the fabric kind of control pads of sorts. Insight, questions, and recommendations are appreciated.
  5. Hey guys, been a while since I came back on here asking for some help on things. So, as the title suggests I am looking for a quiet keyboard(as quiet as possible) but I am also a gamer so I would like it if there was RGB involved as well. Searching around is a nightmare because you have a huge amount of misinformation floating about so hopefully someone here can help me out. I am not very well informed on what switches or brands to look for so information is highly appreciated. Budget is $250 as I really don't mind spending a bit on one of the items I use the most considering I do computer work as well as gaming together. I need something that's going to last so I would assume Double Shot PBT keycaps would be preferred as well.
  6. Yes, I have done this already.. the router states it has the firmware to do this... Hopefully someone can actually help me.. thank you though. I have gone ahead and ordered a replacement usb-c incase this is faulty. A powered usb hub in case there's not enough power. along a replacement router as I am suspicious that the router may be defective. The router upon reboot will have the 3.0 light turn on itll connect to the mifi 8000. It starts with a dhcp error given a minute it will then say disconnected and given a minute after that it actually will say its connected just fine.. however within about 10 seconds after that it suddenly loses connection completely and the 3.0 usb light shuts off and doesn't come back on. I did manage to have it gain an internet connection just once.. so I feel there may be a faulty connection or defect somewhere as when the internet worked that time it actually stayed working the whole time it didn't shut off however I wanted to try to replicate whatever I did that caused it to start working though to no success and now cannot replicate it at all
  7. asus routers appear to have this capability just fine on quite the few of their routers though. Unsure as to why I am having this issue and how to solve it.
  8. Hey guys, so I am trying to set up a Mifi 8000 tethered via usb to an ASUS 3100 Router for connection through the sprint network. The idea came here from over there on the reddit post(I will post a link to it) however for the life of me I cannot seem to get this to work out. Does anybody happen to have a solution to this? I first tried the 2.0 usb in the back it set it all up okay but then I just had no internet going to the computer and it kept telling me there was something wrong with the proxy. So I reread how the person on those forums did it and he mentioned to make sure you use the 3.0 usb in the front. So I switched to that and now I see this image below from the router where the dhcp does not function proper. so, after digging around a lot I noticed this seems to be a very common issue for asus routers? Is my unit defective or something? During this after a minute the 3.0 usb light shuts off and the ethernet/internet light stays red and then just says there is no connection to the usb 3.0 slot.
  9. Well, like i said previously. I am all for switching to amd since its typically the cheaper route. the issue I have there is I would need to front a secondary cost to purchase a processor.. in this case having a processor that equivelant to what I have now would be fine as I would then just sell off the 8700k for that amd. I plan to upgrade later down the road on the processor of course.. so having the capability of a good upgrade is a benefit. Normally I would just buy the motherboard but in this case I need to keep an eye on the sound card and make sure its more top of the line.
  10. Nobody else have any recommendations? Like I said.. need the best I can get for the sound card on a future proof motherboard ideally intel
  11. Doesn't look like it has the greatest on the sound card. Will need to look further into this or ask for recommendations. Solid board though
  12. Currently using an 8700k i7 intel processor on my board. My budget for the board would be around the $400 range or so.. I don't particularly have a budget.. I can stretch it if I need to but of course .. less $ is always better in my book. I would like to keep my 8700k if at all possible.. Unless it would be possible to sell off the 8700k for an amd and yet still get the same processing power.. as amd is typically cheaper. The pc is a gaming rig. not being used for musical production or streaming.
  13. It looks like the x570 is only amd? Is there an intel variation you can recommend?
  14. Hmm Would definitely need more information but thats a good starting point. Thank you, I need to kind of pin point what would be best for what I am looking for here.
  15. Hey there, Like the title suggests I am searching for a good upgrade to my motherboard. Wifi is not necessary, multiple graphic card ports is not necessary, rgb always good to have a little flair and style but can be skipped, needs to be an ATX motherboard, Needs to support newest generations of processors for future proofing, Prefer intel but rise of radeon lately not sure would be great if it was multi compatible not sure if those exist though, Must support ddr4 3000 and up, a Plethora of usbs and hdd, and other usuals on a motherboard. Other portion I need is that I listen to a lot of audio so I need the sound card to be top notch and support 600 ohms or better. Budget is debatable but I should have plenty to support whatever I choose. open to recommendations. Current mother board in use ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
  16. Keyboard wise I suppose can be a little more subjective.. I like full size keyboards nothing compact but a good rgb.. the omnipoint switches got my attention due to the low latency and what not and im not particularly fond of loud clickity keyboards either i like quiet keyboards. I thought the rgb was pretty stunning on the apex pro at the same time I wasn't sure if there was a better, quieter, cheaper, alternative
  17. I was looking at this honestly but I wasn't sure how good mesh would be compared to the normal filters like I use now as I have never made use of a mesh design. This case that i use now is just a thick foam and actual filters. it has nowhere near as much filteration as that case as this skyline has a filter on top and on bottom but nothing on the front other than foam. It's definitely interesting. I wasn't honestly sure if I needed a full tower or mid tower. Cases that can hold the 360 mm aio or nh d15 are what I am searching for as I want to overclock but I know i need the room for a good amount of cooling but I hate having to clean the guts out of my case as my first case was like that and I learned real fast how much it sucks to have to pull it all out and dust everything. My current case isnt anywhere near that much of a headache but i feel theres room for improvements and its rather small for what I want.
  18. Currently using a Red Dragon m602 rgb it works decently enough though I would prefer a tad bit bigger.. I hold my mouse in the claw style. rgb like said earlier. a lighter weight is good but I am not to picky as long as not really heavy as I do play FPS so a lighter weight that moves easier is always helpful of course alongside a higher dpi around 12k works fine. I do prefer wireless but I am okay with wired if need be. Games played are shooters and rpgs outside that its a pretty mixed bag as everything except sports after that. Don't have a tape measurer on hand right now so I cant measure my hand to exact specs. I am right handed too figure I should leave that in there as some mice are ambidextrous. I was looking at the Glorious Model D but was unsure same thing for the steel series I mentioned earlier. Also lower click latency helps while is pretty minor lower is better of course. Best is definitely subjective but I am trying to find the "best" for me since I do play competitively. I also do play some mmos like ff14 it that helps anything too so extra buttons are always appreciated.
  19. Well if no other side brand is good guess I will just go pick up a xbox elite. I was curious since theres alot of other brands even Astro makes its own controller which I believe is compatible with pc and ps4.
  20. While looks are subjective, in the terms of mouse and keyboard especially in gaming there is quite a few differences from response times, people use mice differently in how they hold the mouse as well as overall hand size, alternative macros on the mouse and keyboard. Theres a virus going around you cant just go to a store. That logitech became insanely popular thanks to some streamers, including ninja, using it so much. Personally speaking, I am definitely not a fan of it.
  21. I installed the dh15 yes but all 3 fans are unable to fit I had to sacrifice one. It fits along with its chromax covers however it will square up perfectly against the plastic side cover. Installed quite a few ml120(I believe 7 or 8 of them actually cant check right now) blue led fans in there and it runs incredibly well.. I don't particularly like how the filters are.. as the front mesh is a bit of a pain to clean(i resorted to just vacuuming and compressed air at this point), I also removed some of the mesh on the back top metal grating as I felt it was a bit much with there already being a filter there and removing it improved the airflow. I am just not sure how good those cases actually were in comparison to some.. as a lot of cases have different cooling capabilities overall space, wire management, etc Current case setup is a triple fan 1080 ti evga, 650 watt power supply evga gold, i7 8700k, 32 gigs of ram 3000 mhz tridentz g skill, Noctua dh-15 2 fans with chromax covers, 6-8 ml120 fans, 3 harddrives, and a asrock motherboard. I felt with the current setup while theres still some space it feels a bit cramped.. hence I thought of a different case and removal of the dh-15. That noctua is definitely fantastic it just takes a ton of room. as for the case.. I am generally looking for a great case with great air cooling capabilities, filters for ease of cleaning, bigger than what I am using now, room for wire management, and possibly adds on for aid in installing AIO and fans. I wouldn't say it boils on preference as all cases are built different and theres definitely cases that outperform others.. you can be subjective about it.. however if your someone who say wants to overclock you typically want the best cooling performance you can get your hands on depending on how far you take it.
  22. Well I already figured the normal xbox and ps4 controllers were good for pc gaming I was wondering if there was a better alternative as some alternatives offer extra buttons and ease of use in games
  23. Hey there all, looking for a case upgrade as I have a really cheap one, diypc skyline-06. I know mesh has been on the rise but I am looking for a good size case that offers filters so I can clean it easy and enough room for good fan sizes and air circulation. I was looking at the Corsair Crystal 680x and the H500p Mesh from cooler master but I was unsure if they were good cases or big enough for that matter. I make use of air cooling if that helps at all but was considering trading my noctua dh-15 for an AIO to save some space. I do like RGB and nice looking cases too. I was consider the 680x cause I thought it looked decently nice supposedly has great air circulation and the other side has great space for cable management but I was unsure. Any advice and recommendations are appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  24. Hey there, wanted to drop this really quickly asking what people thought the best go to controller was on a pc. I am particularly fond of the xbox controller layout and feel more than a ps4 but I was unsure on brand wise. I know Scuf is probably pretty up there but could use some recommends and info
