zeusthemoose got a reaction from whm1974 in Dumb American confused about the EU
Disclaimer: I'm also an American so all I know is what I have been taught in schools here and I have no direct experiences with the EU or its functions.
The EU is a supranational organization (a group of states that are working together to promote shared economic and political goals). As such I dont think there is anything to really compare it to here in the US but it does perform some functions covered by the US federal reserve and government. One of the biggest things it has done is help promote trade among its members through open borders and the common currency (the euro). It also helps bring more political power to the members by acting on behalf of all of them and not just single country.

The mod who unlocked it couldn't resist saying "nothing on 1... A nice click out of 2..."

Ok this is a good one i think
Run a machine with a bone stock windows install from maybe 2 years ago
Then run it with a windows install that has had 2 years worth of crappy patchwork windows updates on it so you can see how much slower windows is with updates turned on.

zeusthemoose got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Can someone tell linus somethibg?
Looking at your post history, your suggestion is in the video suggestions thread. An ltt staff member will periodically go through the suggestion thread and if they like any of the suggestions, they will try to make it a video. You are not going to be able to get a staff member to tell linus about your suggestion so he can personally review it, but putting it in the thread gives it a shot of becoming a real thing.

Community reputation means nothing - especially if you have to go onto threads and ask people to react (pretty sure its against the rules anyways, can a mod confirm/deny?). If you want to boost your reputation, go give useful and informational replies to people looking for help.

Since one of my laptops nearly combusted itself, I harvested the 850 Evo that was in it as an upgrade and got an Orico enclosure for it.
Unlike the other one I've got that has that very laptop's original hard drive inside, this one is USB-C, which is very handy.

Begging for people to react to your posts will fall under rep farming. It's also really tacky.

zeusthemoose reacted to artuc in i am confused... they put an image of a gtx1660 but then they put GDDR6 so what is is sould i trust the listing or the box (read my comment
Well the image is showing the standard 1660 and there is no mention of Super in the listing or on the box, it should be Super Ventus XC and have super on the box after 1660. Box also shows GDDR5.
My assumption would be the GDDR6 is a typo/wrong spec as no other detail is pointing to it being a Super.

I've merged your post in to the thread for LTT video suggestions. The Tech News forum is for discussing news articles on tech related topics.

zeusthemoose got a reaction from Debenzor in Is my PC parts all correct?
I would not go for an AIO. The NH-D15 is an amazing air cooler that will match or beat the performance of most AIOs usually for a lower price. It also has fewer points of failure so it is more reliable. The only real benefit would be looks but the NH-D15 also comes in a chromax edition that is all black and IMO looks good enough.
