  1. The problem is if I wait for any latest tech especially stuff like GPUs , the price difference is usually always huge. So , I will anyway not be able to buy it. For e.g. if we compare prices of the MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT MECH OC Graphics Card now which is not even the latest and greatest. the difference is even more huge when products are new in the market. US price - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1557851-REG/msi_radeon_rx_5600_xt.html ( via PCpartpicker) - 290 USD Indian price - https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/msi-radeon-rx-5600-xt-mech-oc-6gb-gddr6-gaming-graphic-card/ - 452 USD Difference is - 162 USD and this after checking at the cheapest online offering for the card in India. Hence, moral of the story - No latest GPUs for the avg Indian monthly wage earner. But thanks for the tip anyway. Will see how it works out.
  2. The 3300x is similarly priced as the 3500. 153 USD approx. I have already purchased the 3500 and will purchase the GPU towards end of the year. India doesn't get sales like Black Friday etc. for tech so just saving up for the GPU.
  3. The Ryzen 3600 has a 40% price difference compared to the ryzen 3500 here in India, so it is outside my budget. Regarding the 5600XT I did see this - https://www.pcgamer.com/amd-radeon-rx-5600-xt-review/ So, yes I might consider that too but in India tech is horribly overpriced. So, ya, let's see.
  4. Will a Ryzen 3500 + RX 5700 have throttling issues? Note: Ryzen 3500 is also known as Ryzen 3500x in China and some western countries. According to these 2 sites the answer is NO. https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Ryzen_5_3500/Radeon_RX_5700_XT/0VS14j28/ https://www.gpucheck.com/gpu/amd-radeon-rx-5700/amd-ryzen-5-3500/ Should I go ahead with the combo?
  5. Budget (including currency): INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming on weekends for few hours and office work for rest of the week which is mostly writing work. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I won't overclock. Won't ever use a top-of-the-line CPU such as Ryzen 3900 or similar. Maybe use a Ryzen 3700x in the remote future and that is a big MAYBE as of now. Want to play all or most games at 1080p high/ ultra settings. Want to create an RGB build down the line. Have an existing 1050ti which I want to change with a RX 5700 sometime towards the end of 2020. So, as of now I am keen on buying a CPU + Mobo which I will not ideally change for the next 4-5 years. My budget permits me to buy a Ryzen 5 3500 for 11000 INR (147 USD). 3600 is out of bounds for me as it costs 40% more than 3500 in India. Now I need a Mobo and I have shortlisted these 2 - MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI (13495 INR) [ 180 USD] shorturl.at/DFIN9 or Gigabyte B550 Gaming X (11700 INR) [ 156.59 USD] shorturl.at/juA14 I know a review is not possible but if anyone could give me an idea just on the basis of specs, of what would best serve my purpose. Is the MSI worth the extra 23 dollars or my purpose can be also served by the Gigabyte. board. 23 dollars might not seem like much but I could simply put it away in my piggybank for the RX 5700. Thanks and regards
  6. I have never used RGB before and don't have much idea about how it works. So I have a non RGB motherboard (Asrock H110 DVP) and I am planning to get this case https://www.antesports.com/ICE-400TG-cabinet.html So how do the lights in the case actually become operational ? Will thy work without mobo, cpu being installed? Do I need a motherboard with RGB headers? I just plan to transfer my existing rig from one case to this new case. This new case comes with a remote controller it says. Please guide. Regards & thanks
  7. Hi all A noob question but Even if the answer is yes, does it make sense to use it in 2020? Pros & Cons? CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processo MoBo (yet to decide) - B450 tomahawk Max OR MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC OR ASUS ROG Strix B450-F AMD Ryzen 2 AM4
  8. Hi I wanted to get recommendations for a gaming/ multipurpose rig (good-looking if possible) which I intend to use for the next 5-6 years. My current rig is composed of : CPU - Intel G4560 (want to change to AMD) - Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 3700X or Ryzen 2700x? Motherboard - Asrock H110M HDVP (want to change) GPU - GTX 1050 Ti (will change later ) RAM - 8GB DDR4 (want to upgrade to 16GB) Monitor - Benq 24" 1080P ( will keep) PSU - Antec VP550 ( doi need to change? ) 1TB HDD ( want 1 TB more + SSD) Antec mid tower cabinet ( dunno model number) [want to change later for a fully transparent one] My budget is around 650 USD or 50000 INR for all the above mentioned components P.S. Is this a good combo for CPU+ Mobo - AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X + ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING OR AMD RYZEN 5 3600 PROCESSOR + MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ( Which one is better from a future proofing aspect) Thanks & regards
  9. Hi all I am in India and at the moment we are under lockdown like many other places in the world. I work in digital marketing so its mostly WFH and trying to play some games on the PC on weekends. Planning to change my CPU + Mobo so here for some advice.
