  1. Ah okay, 5800x3d is basically the best out of the three for gaming. Yet, the core count is going to be the same as the 3700x. So if I want the best of both worlds for core count and the core speed, maybe the 5900x might be the choice? After looking up the 5950x, it’s pretty expensive I found on Amazon for ~$470 compared to the 5900x is ~$325
  2. I bought the RTX 4080 GPU and I’m wondering if I need to upgrade my Ryzen 7 3700x CPU. I use my PC for computer science coursework. I run a couple of virtual machines, and gaming at 2K/144fps. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 5800X3d, Ryzen 9 5900X, or Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs My motherboard doesn't support the AMD 7000 series. If any of these CPU’s aren’t worth upgrading, should I better off overclocking my CPU? I have a good 360mm AIO cooler. Thank you.
  3. Hi, so for gaming I’m aiming for 2k at 120fps with ray tracing. Then for editing, it’s just for side work and editing personal videos.
  4. Hi, so before I get started my current pc: Ryzen 7 3700x CPU RTX 2060 super 64gb of DDr4 ram 4tb m.2 storage I do gaming and video editing on my pc. I would like my pc that can play games at 2k at least 120-144fps with ray tracing. So I did some research and came across either the RTX 4070ti or 3090ti. I’ve found some great deals for a used 3090ti for $800 (same price as 4070ti). But when I researched these two cards, they are very close in gaming performance. What I like about the 4070ti is it has lower wattage requirements compared to the 3090ti. But what I like the 3090ti is the higher amount of vram and GPU memory bandwidth is better than the 4070ti. Which one should I get? Also, is upgrading to the cpu to the Ryzen 5 5950x good to prevent bottleneck in case if I upgrade to one of those GPU’s? I cannot do 7000 series since my motherboard doesn’t support it. Also, I need more cores since I’m video editing as well.
  5. I did some research and found the RTX 4070ti to be a good choice for 1440p gaming with ray tracing, achieving to over 120fps (if my research is accurate). However, there are two issues that concern me with the RTX 4070ti GPU. Firstly, I may need to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 3700x to a 5800x3d to avoid bottlenecking. Secondly, some negative reviews suggest that the RTX 4070ti's performance does not justify its high price of $800. Considering these factors, I have considered other options. The RTX 3080ti is a good alternative, with good deals available on eBay for between $650 and $750. However, I also came across the RTX 4070 for $600, although this card doesn't perform as well in maintaining even at 100fps on 2k with ray tracing. My budget for the graphics card is $800. In addition, I have heard that AMD graphics cards are decently priced, but their ray tracing performances aren’t as good as Nvidia's. So, I am unsure which option is the best in terms of price and performance. Could you please advise me on the best choice?
  6. I appreciate it. Which AMD CPU is good to have? I was planning on either the 7000 series or should I do the 5000 series CPU?
  7. So I am planning on upgrading my GPU from RTX 2060 super to the RTX 4070ti and my CPU I currently have is a Ryzen 5 3700x. Is it a bottleneck if I don’t upgrade my CPU? Or it won’t bottleneck?
  8. Hi, So before I start off my build is: asus tuf gaming X570 motherboard AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 32gb ddr4 3600 mhz ram EVGA RTX 2060 super Corsair water cooled Sabrent rocket 2tb m.2 EVGA 750 watt 80+ gold I'm experiencing some issues with my GPU and I've decided to upgrade it. However, I'm not sure which GPU would be best for my needs. I mainly use my PC for gaming and have a 4K 144Hz monitor, which I purchased at a great deal during Black Friday. I know that no graphics card can go beyond 120fps with ray tracing at 4K, and even if one exists, it would be too expensive for me. Hence, I'm fine with playing games at 2K resolution since I still enjoy it. And 2k is still a fantastic resolution. However, my current 2060 super GPU can't consistently play games at 100fps at 2K and that is ray tracing turned off. Therefore, I'm looking for a GPU that can consistently play games at 2K@144fps or at least 120fps for any game with ray tracing turned on so I can get the full experience for my 144hz new monitor. My budget is under $1000 for GPU. I am okay with AMD or Nvidia GPU’s but I might need to switch to AMD graphics card since my monitor supports Freesync (my monitor is a Gigabyte M28U). But I don’t know if that really matters. But if it doesn’t matter, I’d also like to know which Nvidia graphics cards are great price that I can play 2k@144fps Furthermore, I'm also wondering if I should upgrade my CPU along with my GPU. While I'm not very knowledgeable about it, I'm concerned about bottlenecking if I don't upgrade my CPU. I think my current CPU is great, but I'm not sure if upgrading it would provide the best performance with the new GPU. I'd appreciate any advice on whether or not upgrading my CPU would make a significant difference. Thank you in advance for your help edit: I recently looked at the 4070 ti and 3070 ti. I really like the price for 3070 ti ($600) since it’s affordable for my budget but it’s 8gb vram so it’s not really good of an upgrade from my 2060 super. But I’ve heard 4070 ti is far better than 3070 ti. But maybe future proofing 4070 ti?
  9. Hello I just recently built my computer a while ago. I only have 1tb nvme in the computer. I’m a video editor and I play a view video games. I’m starting a drone videography business. I would like more than one internal hard drive. So I’m thinking of having my current 1tb nvme as software. Now I would like to have two more drives where one of them is video data, documents, etc. then the third one for archiving in case my computer failed (which I’m assuming hdd is perfect). I need help if I should get another nvme or sata ssd. I’m more of performance person. I would like reads and writing speeds quickly as possible. Also I don’t know how much storage I should get for the two drives. For my current 1tb nvme, It’s a little more than half way full. Please give me let me know what I should do. thank you
  10. Hello I need help about grainy/noisy videos. So when I fly my DJI mavic air 2 in 4k even when there is light I can see grainy parts of the videos. I heard on YouTube it’s better going to shoot manual than auto and try having the setting that is low iso, high shutter speed (2x more than your frame rate) and putting color to “D-cinalike” which manual was a little better after I edit the video. Also what’s funny is when I play the edited video on the phone it’s weird how there is no grainy parts in sight but when I edit on my 4k monitor I can see it pretty well. I would like to reduce that. I heard people are saying to use “ND filters” and I never use them before and I have them since it came with the drone bundle and I don’t know which one to use appropriately, I need help on that. Any tips please? thank you.
  11. Hello, I built a PC a little while ago and I put only 1tb nvme m.2 and it’s already half way full. I noticed it’s starting to kinda slow down. I am a video editor, film with a gopro and DJI drone. I need a help with optimizing storage, recommending how many storage drives and what type of storage drives should I use in my computer. I don’t like cloud storage (google drive, iCloud, drop box, etc) don’t want to pay the monthly fees and it’s kinda slow, and I also don’t like NAS. So people are telling me I should get another ssd for storing edited videos and a HDD for archiving. But I have a similar plan, I was thinking of this storage plan: I will keep my 1tb nvme for software and OS, another m.2 that is 2tb for edited videos, doc and data. Then an HDD 4tb for archiving/backup. Any tips?? Thank you.
  12. Hello, I built my computer a few months ago, I love it a lot, and I hardly have any problems with it. Video editing is pretty good. I use Davinci resolve for video editing. I am a drone videographer, I always shoot in 4k 30fps or 60fps. So I went to the Davinci resolve website and their software relies on gpu. So on my computer, when I edit, it renders alright, it does the job really well! However, when I do playbacks, some videos sometimes glitches and skips parts of a video even if it’s edited or raw. I used proxy to down res to 1080p but it still has some glitches and skips video parts. I just want the “full experience” of editing my 4k video. I have an EVGA RTX 2060 super. I heard Nvidia came out with the 30 series. I was wondering if it’s a great upgrade going from a EVGA RTX 2060 super to Nvidia 3080? Should I upgrade or it’s not worth the money and stay with my 2060 super? Here is my computer specs: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 32gb Ram 3600mhz RTX 2060 super 1tb Sabrent Rocket m.2
  13. I haven’t planned that yet but probably around 2 or 3 tb and I am backing up data from my NAS server (8tb)
