  1. My HP Envy Laptop would always unexpectedly restart and get super hot whenever I close the lid to put it to sleep, or put it to sleep via the start menu and close the lid. It would get really hot a few minutes after closing the lid, and when I open the lid it would just show the Windows boot spinning circle (but really slowed down), or it would show a blue screen that says that my PC did not shut down properly (with options to restart or go to advanced options). Event viewer shows an unexpected shutdown. This started happening after I did a clean install of Windows 11 on it. I did my 1st clean install a few weeks ago and started experiencing this problem. I then did another clean install yesterday expecting the problem to go away, but it doesn't. Can someone help me with this? Model number: 6TY65PA
  2. Ah yes, it works now. Thanks!
  3. Well, my shared folders simply don't show up on my phone when I try to search for SMB folders. I've already enabled sharing on the folders i desire. Oh i forgot to mention, i use OpenVPN cloud
  4. I'm trying to make it so that I could access my shared folders on my PC remotely through SMB. How should I do this? I've tried Windows' VPN, OpenVPN, and my shared folders still wouldn't show up on my android phone
  5. My PC is connected to a gigabit network switch but my PC would always be stuck at 100/100 Mbps. However, if I connect the same ethernet cable to the PC right next to mine, it would get gigabit speeds. I have tried a few things on my PC: Installing the latest driver from Realtek Updating to the latest BIOS Changing the speed and duplex setting in control panel to 1.0 Gbps full duplex Resetting all network settings via Windows settings Booting to Ubuntu to check the speeds I don't think that it's a hardware problem, as it would show me gigabit speeds in Ubuntu. After I reboot to Windows it would also show me 1000/1000 Mbps but after a while it would just revert back to 100/100 Mbps. This also occurs way before I updated my PC to Windows 11, so I also don't think that Windows 11 is the issue either. How do I solve this?
  6. Ryzen Master shows 1,3 V average, should I still undervolt? The cooler (the Wraith Prism included with the CPU) seems to be attached properly. It was firm and I didn't wiggle at all, and the lever was also pulled all the way to the right. And the average voltage is around 1.3 V
  7. So for some time, my PC had been running at 90°C on idle and up to 104°C under load. When I checked, the thermal paste had apparently dried out, so I replaced it with some new paste (Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaut). After I checked again, the temps had gone down, idling at about 60-75°C and going up to about 85°C under load. Are these temps normal?
  8. Ahh I see I see... I’ll try leaving it unplugged and see what happens. Thanks for the info
  9. Nope... It should show the Dell logo, but it doesn’t now...
  10. So I have an old Dell Inspiron 620 (I think that’s the name) that I just installed an SSD in. It had two SATA cables, one connected to the SSD, and one to nothing. I accidentally removed the one connected to the SSD while the PC was still on, so I reconnected it and turned off the PC. When I tried booting up, nothing would show up on the screen, though the monitor indicator light would stop blinking and stay on, indicating input from the PC, but after a second it would go into power saving mode. I checked the SSD on my main rig and it seemed fine, there were no errors. Anyone know how to get around the issue with the Dell?
  11. Alright, thanks for all your replies, appreciate it!
  12. I just want a really fast, snappy experience with my desktop. I do some mild video editing in Premiere Pro and want renders to finish ASAP. It’s just that recently I realized that usually my memory use would not really go above the 32 GB mark and I’m starting to question the usefulness of 64 GB.
  13. Is it better to have 64 GB 2666 MHz, or 32 GB 3200 MHz RAM?
