  1. The laptop's battery is dead so I've set every power setting for when the laptop is plugged in to never. Also just set the battery ones hoping it does something.
  2. My laptop goes to rest mode on itself aproximatelly every 5 minutes. Prior to this a repair guy changed the cooler on it since it died this morning and he used a similar one so we could get the laptop working. Is there a possibility that the cooler is affecting the magnetic field of the HALL sensor (The laptop's lid magnets) and causes it to go to sleep mode?
  3. I will give it a look and probably fiddle around but there's no magnet around or near the laptop itself though
  4. So I recently did a little fixing around in my laptop and I renewed the thermal compount and installed windows 10. Now, my laptop just shows a "shuting off" screen and goes to sleep and I just press the power button and it switches on as if I had shut the lid and reopened it. It doesn't overheat, it even does that while doing nothing and at 50 degrees Celsius so temperature ain't the problem. It is starting to annoy me. I have the latest windows 10 updates and I will start updating drivers till it stops shutting off. One guess could be the GPU drivers but it's a long shot.
  5. The title says most of it but I will explain. My dad's laptop this morning after his daily before work use was okay after without him knowing he placed it on a wet surface which still had some water but not a lot. The laptop now, doesn't switch on. The HDD light and power light do switch on when connected to the charger but I told him to switch it off and battery off and let it dry in a hot and dry place like the old ltt video with that windows 8 laptop. Should I do something more?
  6. Well great choice. Well sudden shut offs in most cases are either caused by power starvation or overheating so unless you ensure the psu ain't it run a thermal test as @zambrano8512 mentioned
  7. Lol, it was a good idea. Well last tip is probably contact your gpu manufacturer maybe they have an idea or two. Good luck on your "adventure"!
  8. You mentioned bios drivers but not GPU drivers. Is there a chance you haven't taken a look at those. If yes ignore this buy if no buddy there's a big chance it's just outdated drivers
  9. Well have you taken a look at the thermals of the CPU and GPU before running into assumptions? Good possibility could be that thermal paste is all dried out in either one of them and is underperforming thus overheating and shutting off. Hit me up with an update
  10. Shot in the dark but say all hardware aspects are taken care of, maybe your windows install is corrupt Try reinstalling Windows.
  11. Sorry to hear, I've found that some of Logitech's budget lineup of headset have a very loose fit if that's what you're looking for, plus might be a dumb question but have you tried a good pair of Earbuds?(Unless you need the microphone that headsets offer). Plus friently advice, streer aways from Razer headset. The have a more esports-ish fit so they kinda squeeze your head after long use.
  12. I am interested in buying a used Logitech G29 from Facebook Marketplace since it's a good sim wheel and affordable. BUT, with every used market purchase there's a risk. That being said, I was wondering. What are the most common faults in the G29 that I should look for upon inspecting? Plus as a safe choice around the same money I can buy a new Thrustmaster T150 which I chose in case FM sellers seem sketchy and I choose to play it safe. Thanks!
