  1. I bought the R7 5800X which is 4th gen so I think I'm good lol. Thanks tho!
  2. Lol it's fine. Thanks for your help!
  3. Yes. I thought about buying the R7 5800X ($424.98 CAD) instead of the R9 3900X ($683.51 CAD) and it still wouldn't bottleneck the GPU. Am I right?
  4. Thanks for the video! I should also mention, Octane Renderer is rendering using GPU only. So maybe I could save myself a couple hundred bucks and go with the R7 5800x since I don't need so many CPU cores? What do you think?
  5. Ryzen 9 3900X: https://www.amazon.ca/AMD-Ryzen-3900X-24-thread-processor/dp/B07SXMZLP9/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=ryzen%2B9%2B3900x&qid=1649885799&sprefix=3900x%2Caps%2C224&sr=8-1&th=1 Ryzen 7 5800X: https://www.amazon.ca/DANIPEW-Sand-Man-Cotton-Performance-T-Shirt/dp/B0815XFSGK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=U3MW1DADN0SX&keywords=ryzen+7+5800x&qid=1649886239&sprefix=ryzen+7+5800x%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-1 Intel Core i9-10900K: https://www.amazon.ca/Intel-i9-10900K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B086MHSTVD/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=i9-10900k&qid=1649885823&sprefix=i9-10900%2Caps%2C292&sr=8-1 I do a lot of Blender renders and in Octane Renderer. Which CPU would be the best for not bottlenecking my GPU? This is the GPU: https://www.newegg.ca/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3080-gv-n3080gaming-oc-12gd/p/N82E16814932489?Description=gigabyte 3080&cm_re=gigabyte_3080-_-14-932-489-_-Product Or maybe any other CPU suggestions?
  6. You're right. Maybe I should leave it at that. Thanks!
  7. Nope. I'm from Canada. That's probably why the card is so expensive here.
  8. Oh. Then the 3080 is going to cost me $1,400 (10GB) or $1,600 for the Ti (12GB). Can't find the 850 price anywhere
  9. I'm guessing this one? https://www.amazon.ca/GIGABYTE-REV2-0-WINDFORCE-GV-N3060VISION-OC-12GD/dp/B0971BRCM4/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_pop_multi_srecs_sabr_cn_sccl_4/136-7422213-7617137?pd_rd_w=UBi1J&pf_rd_p=67ca60f6-99ce-4935-a7d4-0c56c5d8fbc7&pf_rd_r=JP5VA8D790BHYM7YNTSZ&pd_rd_r=5ab36099-c29e-4da4-bcb2-9f3bf28e6b56&pd_rd_wg=W0h69&pd_rd_i=B0971BRCM4&psc=1 Should I go for it? It's 12GB compared to 8GB but is it still going to make a difference in performance even if it has slightly slower speeds? Because the 3060 is slower than 3070 but more memory... just curious.
  10. I think I should also mention that I'm giving my 3070 to my brother for his new setup... would that change things?
  11. My setup is in my profile. I do a lot of 3D renders in Blender and Octane Renderer. Currently I'm looking at this GPU right now... https://www.newegg.ca/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3080-gv-n3080gaming-oc-12gd/p/N82E16814932489?Item=N82E16814932489&cm_sp=Homepage_TRENDINGNOW-_-P4_14-932-489-_-04052022 Should I go for it or do you guys have any other suggestions? What would be a worthy upgrade from the RTX 3070 FE? (EDIT:) I'm going to build another PC for my brother and let him use the 3070.
  12. My point is, "there's a 48GB card sitting there for $3,250, should I get it or not?" simple yes or no question. is it used? maybe, maybe not, i don't really know. that's why i'm here.
  13. It's not for gaming. I'm use for it is rendering.
  14. I found a Quadro RTX 8000 with 48GB priced at $3,250 CAD. I searched the price for this kind of GPU and these things usually cost almost $10,000. Is there a reason it's priced this low? Maybe it's because it's used I'm assuming? Should I go for it? It could go very useful for rendering scenes in Blender. Are there some things I should know before buying his GPU? Help is much appreciated.
