JustAGamer325 got a reaction from Stahlmann in minecraft issue
Yeah that was already on, I didn't even do it myself. I heard somewhere that it decreases performance so I tried it out and sure enough, it worked!

JustAGamer325 got a reaction from gloop in minecraft issue
For some reason turning off game mode from windows settings fixed it

1,51 .... AUCH...
recommend max voltage is 1.3 as i recall. I dont think anybody will take back that CPU after you put the voltage that high
ahh saw you didnt run it for to long so CPU is fine,, but yes as others say these CPU are best in auto. wouldnt spend time overclocking those
-
JustAGamer325 reacted to 5x5 in CPU problem
I mean your 4.4GHz setting - just leave the CPU on all auto, enable PBO and don't mess with it

JustAGamer325 reacted to Oswin in HyperX keyboards
i dont think so, only the form factor is different

JustAGamer325 reacted to Spotty in Can you plug extension cables directly into psu?
No. The end of the extension cables are female connectors and are a different pinout to what is used on the PSU. To use extension cables you will need to use the normal cables that come with the power supply and then attach the extension cables on to the end of those. Hence extension.
What you want is a set of custom cables/replacement cable kit. You will need to buy a kit that is compatible with your Seasonic Focus power supply.

Afaik
They plug to the ATX end of the cables and then to the parts
So no.

JustAGamer325 reacted to ubuntu-guru in Windows 10 installation
If you don't have a disk for Win10; you can download the ISO on another machine from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Then find a USB thumb drive that is an 8GB, and download https://rufus.ie/
(If you don't have a thumb drive, you can get one from a store like walmart for $10 or so for 8GB. They are extremely cheap these days).
Open Rufus, select the downloaded ISO, and it will make a bootable USB device that you will be able to plug into your desktop, and boot from when you boot up the machine. From there you can do the install.

Yes it will work but I would recommend a cl16 set instead.

Here is a list of all memory sets this motherboard supports with Ryzen 3000 (press 'compatibility on the left and then 'Ryzen 3x00'): https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX#support-mem-19
There are a 100-something sets that have been tested to work at 3600Mhz.

Idk where you got that from but no
That Includes any ryzen chip
Either way that doesn't have to do with the cpu anyways
Yes

JustAGamer325 reacted to Light-Yagami in Gigabyte GPUs - which is better?
Usually there's nothing to it. Maybe look at a review or two, see which one cools itself better. But silicon quality should be the same.

JustAGamer325 got a reaction from Oswin in First Rig Updated
Yes, but it's close to 200£ and im over budget.
-
JustAGamer325 reacted to Mateyyy in Is this power supply any good?
Yes, but do you really need 750W? You might be better off going with a higher-end, lower wattage unit instead, like an RM550x.
What components are you looking to power with it?
-
JustAGamer325 reacted to gloop in Is this power supply any good?
I’d recommend avoiding that board, get a Tomhawk Max, Mortar Max or Tuf-WiFi instead.

You already spent 2k$ on the whole PC, and then remembered that you need a PSU too ? If you can't get appropriate PSU for this build then save up and wait until you'll be able to afford to buy a decent PSU. Because running RTX2070 Super and R7 3700X on group regulated PSU is a recipe for big disappointment, if not disaster.
Check the tier list, that's what we made it for.
PSU quality doesn't correlate with it's efficiency rating and price. And while Corsair has pretty much only VS and CV lineups among bad ones, EVGA has a half of their lineup consisting of bad to meh stuff, you'll have better change picking garbage than a good one if you don't know better.

JustAGamer325 reacted to gloop in First Rig Suggestions
Get rid of the shitty VS and get a RMx/BeQuiet equivalent.
-
JustAGamer325 reacted to SavageNeo in First Rig Suggestions
not every 80+ is fine. EVGA has some really shitty 80+ psus. check this tier list and see where different models are: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psucultists-psu-tier-list/

JustAGamer325 reacted to Herman Mcpootis in First Rig Suggestions
you have a 2000 pound/euro/whatever budget, you have the money to spend extra on a better PSU. it's the one item that can completely destroy your rig if a crappy one stops working, the last thing you should do is cheap out on it.
-
JustAGamer325 reacted to Xayrn in First Rig Suggestions
Any Corsair or EVGA PSU that is like 550w+ and 80+ rated is fine. You can prob snag a good one for like 70-100 bucks.

Just a heads up, thats a Playstation Exclusive.
Other than that, thats an excellent build! The only suggestion I would make would be to go for 3600MHz CL16 RAM Instead of 3200MHz.
Double check that the mobo box is certified Ryzen 3000 ready and you should be good to go!
