No.  Go simpler.  Megabits/bytes vs mega/gigahertz.  Many people don't understand the difference between a data unit and a cycle unit.  This is frustrating when trying to explain the true differences between different hardware.  This makes it difficult to explain to mom why a 3TB hard drive won't necessarily make her computer faster.

You are forgetting the fields also gravitate.  Therefore energy fields have mass.  I've quoted the reference in an earlier post.

Razer - "Just call it Titan X like you used to."
NVIDIA - "But we already named our last two ones Titan X, won't it cause a branding issue?"
Razer - "Then call it Titan Xp, p like a pro."
    NVIDIA - "Thx, on it."

Do you have a photo of the board and resistor?
If it's one of the large ones it might be the ones used to lock the max core voltage on the Nvidia cards.

If your talking about that square piece that's not a resistor, it's a potted choke or inductor.

I think you may be talking about an inductor, not a resistor.

He's talking about the bare pad directly above it I think, it looks like there is a part missing there.

I don't thing that r33 is .33 ohm resistor but I have never worked with SMT parts before so don't quote me. Resistors also usually burn open, not closed. If you were trying to measure the resistance while it was still on the board the rest of the circuit can throw off your reading.

If you are looking for a replacement use Mouser or Digikey and look for SMT resistors. They do come in different physical sizes and resistances so you will have to make sure that you have the right one. There is also the possibility that the rest of the board is already dead depending on what the resistors function was.

Edit: just looked at the picture again, that's not a resistor.

Not exactly, R33 in terms of an inductor should stands for 0.33uH or 330nH, it's just potted inside of a hard plastic material making it square, they come in all shapes and sizes.

As Dragon mentions that looks like it was intentionally left out and not needed where the blank space is.

Well q4 is missing information.  AMD also sells to the OEM market.  They also sell to the game console market.
A third competitor for q5 might be Qualcomm.
You might need specific details for q7.
    Good luck with your assignment.

Well it should be noted it was a group of entrepreneurs who founded AyyMD AMD.

Though according to Wikipedia it was just Jerry Sanders. Well either way AMD and Intel have existed for nearly the past 50 years.

what i was trying to say is that sometimes there can be problems when mixing sizes channels and timings.
(i have mostly had problems with laptops)

It is surprisingly easy to set up Depth3D, thanks everyone for the support and leading me to the correct way.

Mobo has 2 headers. You can run 2-3 fans off each header. Best bet would be picking PWM splitter with SATA power and using that on CPU_FAN.

    Hi Guys!
First of all I wish everyone reading this happy Christmas and holidays in general.
After two years of just using my ThinkPad as mine and the whole family's main driver, I think that it's time for an upgrade.
The PC should be future proof for at least the next 5 years. The only things I'd change would be the ssd (if there's need for more), the ram (same here) and the gpu (it's used for AAA titles in 1440p).
My only worry is the mainboard. I personally would prefer a Asus X99 Deluxe/Rampage V or an MSI XPower Gaming Titanium.
The reasons are the wider connectivity and the better and more attractive build quality.
And excuse me for any possible orthography or grammar mistakes. (I am from Germany)

my opinion on the whole cat5e/cat6 thing is you're better off getting a high quality cat5e, than pay the same amount of money for a standard cat6. (and still, in a house you dont need a high quality cat5e, any ol' cat5e cable will do.)

beyond that, i'm gonna give you this piece of advice: everywhere you're running cables to, run two of them, your future self will thank your present self for doing so.

No more than the temperature of the inside of your case, it's not passing massive amounts of energy across the bridge so it shouldn't heat up much if anything at all.

Yes.  The 8x pci-3 3.0 standard is faster than your cards' throughput.

The difference in FPS between GPUs running at 8x and 16x is near unnoticeable.
