  1. I've started to have the same issue. 3440x1440 normally runs fine, but now I get the same soft edged black bars that you are getting.
  2. I have an LG C& OLED and a Samsung Q90R Qled and for the same reasons you are looking for a TV. We had the OLED in the sitting room which is generally not subjected to lots of sunlight and is dark during most of the day. The playroom however, has sunlight all day and is much brighter so we got the QLED. I would suggest QLED for a bright room.OLED is also damaged if you have direct sunlight on the screen so that is something else to think about if relevant to your situation. The OLED is generally a better picture I think (although we are comparing a 55 OLED to 75 QLED), but ours did suffer from erenn burn in but was replaced by LG due to another issue so it is back to normal. It is great having the QLED with no worries about gaming on it alt all. (Switch, PS4 Pro and many childrens' channels playing.)
  3. I was also hoping for a Q90R update. However, I don't yet have any earc compatible devices and arc seems to work fine for me at the moment.
  4. Onkyo and Pioneer are the same company now. They have the same hardware/software between many different models, with different fascias, etc. Badge engineering in the same way car manufacturers do it.
