iv got a pc for home use, the laptop's mainly for lectures but ill also use it for work. 15" + would be ideal

I'm going into computer science next year and need a laptop, cant be a MacBook. I wont use it for gaming, just for uni work. The course work is primarily coding, so something with a high battery life would be appreciated. these are the universities recommended specs as a guideline: OS: Windows 10 or 11. SCREEN: 13-15.6" HD screen RAM: 8GB minimum prefer 16GB. STORAGE: 256GB Minimum. CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Athlon X4 740 (or equivalent CPU/processor capable of virtulization). VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 660 (2048 MB) or Radeon R9 285 (2048 MB) SOUND CARD: DirectX compatible. budget is a max of $3000 AUD, fine with a little extra if really needed

when im in discord and im playing a video my friends complain that they can hear the video, iv tried multiple guides and still no success

hello, at random times my pc turns off then back on again. funny thing is it just happened while writing this but it just froze then turned off... *edit* just if it helps it has only happened while gaming

When I’m playing a game and switch to google to search something up and I’m in windowed full screen or boarder less my google starts to switch between the game and google. I'm wanting to build a new keyboard but not sure on what keyboard base and what switches to get, i want the keyboard to be hotswapable, 60%, or 75%, sound good and not look to minimalistic and bland. and i want the switches to be linear. I was thinking of getting the glorious GMMK Pro 75%, and for the switches iw as gonna get banana splits and lube them. so my question is: is the GMMK Pro good to get and if it isn't, what other ones should I get are banana splits good and should i lube them, and if so what lube and any other switches that may be better Thank you

no not when switching, it does it while i type and scroll through things

There isn't really a good way to describe what's going on but ill try. When I'm in a game and I decide to use google to search something up it flickers my game onto google. i checked if i needed to update drivers and i did, so i did so then it seemed to fix it, but now its come back and now I don't know how to fix it.

I saw the gmmk pro and really liked the look of it and thought it might make for a good first build. I thought of using alpaca switches. My 3 and a bit questions are is the gmmk pro a good keyboard will alpacas work with it and if no to any of the above, what would be a good keyboard and switch set

I connected my speaker to my pc and now it plays every sound on my pc even talking through my mic, I only want it to play my music and the game audio through the headphones. I have tried what other forums and websites have said and it keeps overlapping the audio until its uncoherent
