  1. I have a PC running Windows 10 Pro and a mac at home, and would like to know what are some good software to remotely connect to my PC from my mac to manage it? They're all on the same LAN. What is reliable and secure?
  2. I can't because then the wire will show. I have my monitor wall mounted and connected to the outlet directly behind it.
  3. but what if you're let's say in the middle of a game and your monitor loses power. Will pressing the power button make Windows close all apps, and force quitting apps that won't close in order to shutdown properly? That's my main concern. Since my monitor has no power, I won't be able to see anything.
  4. I have ordered a UPS for my computer, it's a Cyber Power unit. I will be connecting my PC, powered USB Hub, and my portable external usb hdd to it. However, my monitor is mounted on the wall and it's plugged into an outlet directly behind where it's mounted so that the wire is neatly hidden. So in case of a power outage, my monitor would be off while my PC and everything connected to the UPS will be powered. Is there a way to perform a proper shutdown of Windows with the monitor display being off? I have an ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Z490 Motherboard if that helps. I heard from somewhere that it's possible to program the power button on your case to act as a shutdown button? But what if I was in the middle of a game? Would pressing the power button force quit all applications in order to perform a safe shutdown? I don't want to just pull the plug or press and hold the power button. Which both defeat the purpose of getting a UPS in the first place. Or is there a piece of software that will automatically close any running apps and shutdown my computer if it detect that it's running off UPS?
  5. It's annoying that the only thing that is still lit up on my setup are my RGB RAM sticks when my computer is asleep or shutdown. It would make more sense that when you put your computer to sleep or shut it down that it would also turn off the RGB lighting on the memory as well. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB RAM.
  6. I wish I knew that before I threw my old unit out. Sigh. Roughly how much would a battery cost if not bought directly from the manufacturer?
  7. Cyberpower are the one's I've used. My 1st model was the one you mentioned, CP1500PFCLCD, I think it lasted me about a little over 3 years before it died out on me. I was going to replace the battery but for the price of that it would've been much better just to buy a new unit. My 2nd one is the CP1350AVRLCD. But do these units typically die out that fast? I was hoping that they last longer than that. What's the difference between the PFC and AVR models? The CP1500 can handle a max of 900watts which I think is sufficient for my setup.
  8. I just build a new computer and would like to get one of those units where you plug your computer and other devices into so that if the power goes out, your devices won't just shut off. I was thinking of getting the Cyberpower units, but not sure how many watts I need? I plan on plugging my computer and TV, print and speakers. My computer has an 850 Watt PSU with i9-10900K and soon to be 3080ti card. With that in mind, which model do you think would work well with my setup?
  9. Surprisingly it runs very nicely. Not hot like what others have said online. Extremely happy with my setup.
  10. I figured it out. I had to turn off fast boot in Windows 10 and it fixed it. Somehow Windows was booting up way too fast and it didn't give enough time for my USB hub to initialize.
  11. I am on the ASUS website for my motherboard, and I am not sure exactly what I need to download and install. I already installed the most obvious ones like the LAN drivers, wifi drivers, Intel Rapid Storage, Intel Chipset Software Utility, Intel Chipset Drivers, Bluetooth Driver. However I'm unsure about the following and wonder if they are required. Under device manager, I still have exclamation marks for 2 items. I heard that the Intel MEI will take care of the PCI Simple Communications Controller, but what about the Unknown USB Device? Armoury Crate Intel_MEI_V1952.14.0.1470_WIN10_64-bit Realtek_Audio_Driver_SS3_DTS_V6.0.8899.1_WIN10_64-bit ASUS_AI_Suite_3_V3.00.60_Install_Program_WIN10_64-bit
  12. I don't hear any sounds when starting up. Is this normal?
  13. Is this case suppose to make some kind of beep or noise when you boot up so that we know the status of the motherboard? Reason I am asking is because I just built a new computer using this case. I am using the ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Z490. And in the manual it says that system will beep different patterns to let us know the status of the system.
  14. I have just finished building my new machine, I am running i9-10900k with NZXT Kraken Z73. I am currently sitting in the BIOS screen and my Liquid Temp has been around 32C and my CPU is about 37-38C and motherboard temp is 34C. Is this normal? Ambient temperature in my room is about 78-79F.
  15. My computer will be on the desk, so since it doesn't matter, I'll have the PSU fan facing downwards then. Wouldn't it make more sense this way as the fan will be sucking the air out underneath the case rather than having the fan point upwards where it will push the hear thats coming from the PSU back into the case?
  16. I have an NZXT H710i with a Corsair RMx 850 PSU. I am not sure if the fan is suppose to be pointing up into the case or downwards towards the bottom of the case? Does anyone know for sure. I have watched several YouTube videos online and I can't really see from the video which way the fans are pointing. But sometimes I see the logo/stickers on the PSU is backwards or upside down and other times its the other way around. I want to make sure I install it correctly. Any help is appreciated.
  17. Can you guys recommend a good all around good email client that can handle multiple email accounts with a user friendly GUI? I don't want anything bloated. Just a well laid out client that can keep my multiple email accounts neatly organized and easy to navigate, etc.
  18. Here's a picture of the breaker cable that comes inside the NZXT Kraken box. I have circled it in red. It's this part that I'm not sure where to connect this to? Does it connect to the daisychained wire coming from my 4 AER2 rgb fans that I have daisy chained together or do ignore this part?
  19. Thanks I understand that part. But I'm not sure whether to connect the rgb lighting cable thats daisychained off my 4 fans to? Does it connect to the breakaway cable that comes with my Kraken Z73 AIO or does it connect directly into the smart device v2's rgb input? I will try to take pictures to show you better what I'm trying to do.
  20. Can you guys recommend the top essential apps for overclocking, benchmarking, stress testing for stability, and monitoring? So far I have CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWInfo, Cinebench R20. I know there are more, but would like to know what the best ones are. Is Prime95 good for stress testing the CPU for stability or is there something better? I am on an Intel platform btw. I read that you can use Cinebench as a stress test as well by setting it to loop.
