It's a known problem with the newest driver versions. Install an older driver.

$500
It hurts the soul. Also they have the audacity to pretend it's on "sale" from 499.99

Thread locked. We don't allow these fantasy builds. You're not the first one to ask for the "Best PC unlimited budget" type deal and unless people are actually intending on buying it, which they almost always certainly aren't, it's just a waste of everyone's time.

Nobody is preventing you from reading the bytes. Go download a Linux distro and live boot it if you really want to look at the gibberish in the files.
This isn’t that big of a deal though. It’s Microsoft implementing annoyances to dissuade you from tinkering with software you don’t own. Very common in the DRM era.
If you want to argue the merits of abolishing DRM... that’s a different discussion.

rapidkillerx reacted to WereCatf in Unacceptable anti-competitive and anti-consumer practices in game pass for PC
What a load of crock. There is nothing anti-competitive about this, Microsoft sandboxing the games away does in literally NO way hinder competition, whatsoever.

rapidkillerx reacted to Roswell in Unacceptable anti-competitive and anti-consumer practices in game pass for PC
Uh... I don’t really see the problem. You can see the files and where they are but you’re mad that you can’t read the contents.
I’d hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the vast majority of programs are obfuscated even if you can open them to view in an editing environment.
I’d also hate to see you realize that most games dump 99% of their data into enormous blob files unable to be read or altered by the end user.

you might wanna look closely, it's far from it being fake.

here's the link from the USPTO with the trademark. I was wondering if Justia pulled the address from somewhere else but it looks like they did not. I feel like at this point there's no chance this isn't tied with MSI, I can't imagine the patent/trademark office accidentally letting some scammers register a trademark with a fake address pretending to be a different company lmao
that link doesn't work oops, here's a screenshot of the page, but you can search for it with the serial number and find it on the .gov website

rapidkillerx reacted to WaggishOhio383 in Should i get Linux Ubuntu or stay with Windows?
What are you going to be using the PC for? USB stick is typically easier, especially if your build doesn't have a DVD drive. Either way works fine though if you have the ability to use either method.

rapidkillerx reacted to m9x3mos in What does it mean for a GPU and the rest of the system if the GPU isn't UEFI compatible?
Really shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure windows 10 drivers exist for the card.

3.0 8x? Yes, the 2080Ti is already slightly bottlenecked by that, and the 3080 is supposed to be faster.

Sounds like BS, they know nothing about what they're talking of.
Unless what they were saying is that "you'll probably be able to find a 3rd party 3070 that costs 1000€" which might not be impossible.
Nothing to do but wait, then you'll know.

- got the pro 4 for $5 more, so why not
- the tomahawk isnt really needed for a 6 core, this board should do fine even with the likes of the 3950x (before anyone ask why not the b550 a pro because its cheaper, its 1$ CAD cheaper at the time of making this list)
source:
- ditched the RGB tax on the RAM
- more ssd storage for not much more than the 970 evo
- better airflow case and comes with 3 fans
- cheaper but still a pretty good psu
- also left you extra for a possible 3080 purchase

I suppose that's true. I'm not super attached to it, and AMD has guaranteed B550 compatibility, so I guess I won't worry.
