Okay so,
I’ll start with the fact that I’m aware that it is only required for heavy overclocking which I will not be doing BUT I’m OCD so I want to figure it out anyways. Sorry, because I’ve seen questions all over about it but with convoluted or uncertain specific answers.
The real question I have is if This PSU will fully support my MOBO, in that it has the option for two mobo connectors?
I have a motherboard( MSI mpg X570 gaming pro carbon WiFi) that requires 2x 4x4 connectors for cpu power to the mobo. The PSU I have ordered is a Corsair RM750x (will attach links of pictures to the exact one because there seems to be multiple different years and models) which has 3 ports labeled “6+2 PciE & 4+4 CPU”
obviously you DO NOT power a cpu/mobo with a 6+2 pcie so it’s weird to me they would be together... but can I really just get the appropriate 4+4 and connect it to any of the three slots labeled with the 6+2 and 4+4 label?
I looked up a pdf version of the manual and didn’t seem to see any specific answer or description so I was hoping someone could give me a hardline yes or no to weather or not all 3 of those ports are safe for a 4x4 eps12v or whatever it’s called that connects to the mobo
Seems sketchy as I really don’t wanna fry a 600 ish dollar mobo/cpu combo
