  1. So my friend's mouse is always scrolling, any volume sliders, and windows settings are constatly scrolling. Not video games though, she was playing a game with me and it wasn't scrolling constantly, neither was the volume slider in a video on the Discord app. She has 2 different mice, she tried each independantly, and this issue still occured which leads me to believe this is a Windows issue. She hadn't used her PC in about a week, it JUST started doing this today, the only thing she did today that might have caused it, is install a driver for her new headphones, the "Astro Command Centre". Although she uninstalled this software, and it's still doing this. We've tried a few 'fixes' we found online, none of which worked. We restarted, we disabled 'Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them' but it did nothing. We tried using a restore point, but the only restore point available was just after she installed that 'Astro Command Centre'. She tried restoring that one, but it failed anyway. We updated Windows, we updated her mouse drivers, we uninstalled her mouse drivers, she unpluged her mouse dongle, and moved it to another usb port, nothing. The only other bug fix I can see is reinstalling Windows, which would likely delete all her software, and games, so let's try to avoid that. I got nothing, I tried everything I could think of, and I can't find anymore fixes listed online. This is a super weird issue, I've never seen this before. Please, let me know if you have any idea how to fix this.
  2. So I have to reinstall Windows, but I don't wanna lose any of my video games. I moved all my games over to other drives. I have a small case, the Lazer3D LZ7. The second M.2 is underneath the mobo, it's got 2tb of games on it, and it SUCKS to remove, I have to disassemble the whole PC. I also have an SSD that I can unplug easy. I went to the 'Reset your PC' option, because it said it'll let me keep data, BUT it said the process would uninstall every single game I have (5tb of games, and I have slow internet) even though none of those games are on the C drive. My question is, how do I reinstall Windows onto the C drive, without effecting the other M.2? I remember if I install from a disc, it let's you partition the drive, and then do a fresh install, but I want to make sure that way will keep the other M.2 intact. I don't want to do it, then find out my 2tb of steam games were deleted, that would take months for me to redownload. I can easily unplug the SSD so it won't be effected by the reinstall, but removing the other M.2 would require unbuilding and rebuilding the entire PC, TWICE and I really don't want to have to do that. What's the best way to reinstall Windows and keep my data, without having to disassemble the entire PC twice?
  3. I have 1.7TB of games installed on my boot drive. I have an old 2TB Firecuda I could back it up to I guess, but that's a lot of hassle. I tried to 'repair' with the Windows installation disc, but that didn't work.
  4. So Game Pass for PC is broken. I had 200gb of games downloaded, canceled my subscription, and uninstalled all the games, but Game Pass only gave me 123gb of my space back. I found that all the games installation files are stored in the hidden folder 'WindowApps'. I tried several times to delete the folders inside WindowsApps, as the WindowsApps folder took up 77gb of my precious M.2 space. I accidentally found a solution/new problem by deleting the entirety of the 'WindowsApps' folder. It didn't delete EVERY folder in there, it said some of them were being used at the time, and I only wanted rid of the games that Windows wouldn't let me access, for example my PC still boots up, but apps don't. I can't open any Microsoft apps, or the the Microsoft store. I tried going back to a restore point, but that didn't work. I looked into the 'Reset this PC' option, but it wanted to delete every video game I have installed, and seeing as I have 5.5tb of video games downloaded, and my max internet speed in 2MB/s, that's is NOT an option. I want my PC to function properly. I don't use any apps really, but I don't want Windows to be broken, and I don't want to delete 5.5tb of my steam games. Is there a way to restore the apps? Is there somewhere I could download the default WindowsApps folder? I have a CD with a Windows 10 ISO, is there a way to reset windows, without deleting ANY of my files, or my video games? I worry if there is a Windows Update, and I don't have the contents of WindowsApps folder, that I won't be able to boot.
