  1. Once I receive the case, I'll flick you through the dimensions Okay, I'm not going to pretend that living in Geraldton is the all in all, as I grew up SOR (Munster), and am definitely missing coming back, and work wise, I've become a bit jaded with this town, but it's more about dealing with the underbelly (DCP). That said, the other half is dying to return to Perth, though she is a NOR, so obviously, still a contentious point...
  2. Damn, talk about a small world! While Perth was, and still will always be my home, I have to say that being in Geraldton for the past year or so, the place has definitely grown on me. It has an old Fremantle vibe, in a good way While I know laser is the way I should go, I can't help but feel obligated to support the locals. I'm happy to go for the stencil, and then give acid etching a go. PM me your wife's details, and I'll send through the template and payment
  3. OMG, you are an absolute legend, thank you!!!
  4. [Content removed by Moderators] Okay, outside of the agree-disagree about the case, any suggestions on the system build? I'm using the most recent LTT $800 build as a guide, though I want to push that a lot further, specifically with the aim of building a machine that can run the latest Anno at 4K. Money wise, I'm looking at 2-5k, though I realise I'm still thinking of Aussie dollars, but with the Canuck conversion, I figure it's close, dollar wise.
  5. Mate, you are a godsend, much appreciated! I know I'm pushing my luck, but here in the midwest of Western Australia, there aren't exactly a tonne of laser shops to choose from. Any suggestions?
  6. Hi all, not sure what the proper decorum is about newbies coming on board, but hello from Geraldton, Western Australia! Long time LTT viewer, and with the *joy* of working from home and all that, I decided it was about time that I embrace my nerdiness and join the forum! While I was raised in the PC world, I ended up moving over to Macs due to uni and work. They've served me well, and while Bootcamp served me "good enough" to get my Windows fix for playing games off GOG, I'm not even going to pretend that if I'm looking at getting my game on properly, namely Anno, then I need to get back to embracing the PC life. I've ordered a Dune Pro case (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dune-pro-pc-case#/), and have no issues with putting it together, but being an Apple whore, I want to try to make the case look legit (I mean, as legit as putting together a fake Mac Pro can be). I'm also in the midst of waiting on parts to arrive for a fake screen make (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzTVe6aVgww) To mirror the look of a Mac Pro, I want to etch an Apple logo into the side panels of the case, though I have no experience at all in doing this. While I do restoration work, would acid etching even be feasible for a clean and consistent result, or should I be looking at an alternate method, like laser etching? Sorry, I'm clearly out of my depth on this, so any and all suggestions are welcome! And yes, I do waffle on in my comments!
