The K55 actually doesn't have a polling switch like the K65/70/95.  Try hitting FN + F4 to reset the keyboard.  You will lose any macros and lighting, but this should correct the issue.

It's all in the camera angle.   It's on something like version 4.2 and there are still some things I wish I had the skill to do better.  Below is an earlier build in a different config were I had the rad setting flush against the back wall.  It cooled just as well but I changed things up when I went to an upgraded mobo/cpu combo and went for the hard tubing over soft.

If you have that much money to spend on a rig I'd probably replace the NVMe SSDs with something that can levitate the PCIe 4.0 Interface 3rd gen Ryzen supports (like the Corsair MP 600).

Intel Optane SSDs, Threadripper, Custom Water Cooling, better audio.

I mean, if you want overkill, sure. Assuming you also want headphones that are enjoyable to listen to and not just for reference listening the Beyerdynamic 990s or Audio Technica M50x are the usual recommendations from me, in your price range I'm not sure what could be better (mostly because Inever look in your price range). As for microphones, you have a big choice, there are great options at $100 and bad options at $1000, personally the best bang for buck is likely in the CM1 or Warbler from 3U Audio but a Stellar CM6 is a beautiful mic that I can certainly recommend to anyone with the budget for it.

Or perhaps Orpheus, you're right, he certainly needs more expensive headphones,
    OP, buy Orpheus

I am highly doubtful you will be able to run that much RAM at 3200 MHz, but I could be wrong... I just am not sure the memory controller can handle that.

Also, if this is for actual production, I would consider ECC RAM...

And to that point, would a Quadro card not be better? I am not sure how that plays into simulations, but I know for CAD it makes a world of difference (its just a driver change, which is super lame..... but its how they differentiate the product stack).

It just seems like a strange system. Its trying to be a hardcore pro-sumer workstation, but it has RBG, a "fancy" mobo and such. If this is for lolz, sure, thats going to be fantastic. But if its for getting actual work done, 24/7/365, at these price points, why not look at supermicro mobo's and such? I suppose this use case does make sense, but, 13k just seems a bit nuts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a 15k budget for a computer, been saving since I was 12, does my build push my money to the max, or is there anything I can add/do that'll make a good difference performance wise that stays in my budget?
