Rlmva got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Cpu reads as hotter than the sun
Does anybody know why my cpu is reading as hotter than the sun and my fans say they are at 66,000 rpm? I have an ASRock B450M HDV R4.0. I should mention I don't have any fans plugged in.

Rlmva got a reaction from Sawtaytoes in LG 27GN850-B disconnects and reconnects while my computer is in sleep mode.
My new monitor disconnects and reconnects while I was in the pause menu and the monitor was in sleep mode. I could hear the windows disconnect and connect sound and I got the notification for a G-Sync display detected. Does anyone know what this could be caused by?

If you are going for a ryzen 5 3600, you wouldn't even need to upgrade your motherboard. You probably want to get a 600W PSU for the 3060ti because nvidias recommendations actually make sense this time. Maybe, if you are willing, wait for a ryzen 5 5600 and then get that? you would have to update your bios, but then again you may have to do that for the ryzen 5 3600

Yes, it does use pcie lanes but depending on the amount of ports it can use a varying amount of lanes

Rlmva got a reaction from Speedbird in Upgrading my cpu i7 6700k
5900x would be the best, amd has beaten intel in pretty much every game with their 5th gen ryzen, and if it was worse than its intel counterpart, it would be by single digit frame numbers. Besides, a ryzen 9 and a i9 is a bit overkill for WOW

Rlmva got a reaction from bmbourne in Will the included 650 watt psu in the NZXT H1 be enough for a 3080 and a Ryzen 9 5900X?
As Linus said, the 3000 series GPUs power supply recommendations actually make sense because of the power spikes that they often do. So, no, I would not recommend a 650 watt psu.

I agree. And I would say google has a monopoly over search engines because, practically every other search engine sucks. Its not that hard to see.

This should equal around $2000 Canadian. I do not recommend using the stock cooler for the cpu at all. I tried to use the stock cooler on my 3600 and it soared to 90 degrees Celsius instantly. I know that the 3600x has a beefier cooler but it really is just an upgraded wraith stealth.

Rlmva got a reaction from spartaman64 in I NEED HELP ASAP
If the whole system is slow, I’m sorry but I don’t really know what to do. I’m far from an expert in that area. Try running crystal disk info if you can, it can tell you what may be slowing down your pc.

Rlmva got a reaction from dalekphalm in Good cheap UPS?
I actually got an old 850w one for free today because the previous owner thought it was broken, it actually needs new battery’s because they haven’t been changed since they were made (8 years ago)

Rlmva got a reaction from imking in Looking for my first mechanical keyboard!
I have this blue switch keyboard that I love and its quite nice for the price. Blue switches have a nice mechanical click to them, as you may know, so they may be too loud for you. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VGQ1FGZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Rlmva got a reaction from Stahlmann in Will the thermal paste dry if I don't use my pc for a few months
It should be fine, as long as you have the heatsink/ waterblock still compressing it against the CPU. The only case that I can think of where it would dry out is if you leave it exposed to the air.
