  1. I've heard SeaSonic builds the best psu's - where'd you find the info which manufacturer built which series?
  2. I'd honestly love to pick up the G2, but the price right now for it in canada is a good $30-40 more than the other two
  3. Anyone have any personal experience with these PSU's? 650 GQ vs. 650 GS They're both 80+ Gold and seem like they have the same specs. The only differences I see are that the GS is fully modular whereas the GQ has a non-modular 24-pin?
  4. Yea that's pretty much my thought as well - guess I just needed someone to validate it.
  5. Hey folks! Been outta the PC building game for awhile, looking for an opinion. Here's the deal: Got a gaming rig, but I don't have time for PC gaming any more - gonna sell off the parts. Plan is to build a Skylake mATX build for everyday computing, media server, etc. but I'd like to retain some gaming functionality for the older stuff (HL, portal, etc.). So I guess my question boils down to: is the onboard Skylake GPU sufficient for those older games or should I hang onto my GTX 680? On another note, any idea what a 2GB 680 is worth these days? Appreciate the help!
  6. quality mechanical keyboard with little flair - pretty much what I'm going for. How do they stack up to Ducky Legend?
  7. I'm looking at the Das Keyboard lineup. Anyone with any hands on experience? Pros / cons? Where to buy in Canada?
  8. Cool, I'll check out the K70 - trying to avoid the macro keys like on the K95. Anyone have experience with Cooler Master Storm Quickfire or Ducky Legend?
  9. I'm looking to replace my m. keyboard, but I'm completely outta date on the whole pc building thing so hopefully you fine folks can help me out. Here's what I'm looking for: - 104 key - Don't pc game anymore, mostly typing - don't need backlighting - don't need macro keys - cherry mx browns are probably my flavour - media keys are not necessary PBT vs ABS? Looking for a keyboard that's sleek, durable and stands out without the lighting. I'm in Canada btw, looking to capitalize on the BF deals. Thanks for your help!
  10. Oh sorry I forgot to mention that part - it's already formatted as a GPT. I think you missed the point... Yes there's a ~10% difference between the advertised xTB and what your computer sees due to the capacity calculation done in base 10 vs base 2. But when the reported size goes from 4 TB to under 2...there's clearly a different problem.
  11. Hey folks, could use some help here: I bought 2x 4TB WD Red drives today to create a RAID 1 array. Windows detects them, however with the incorrect capacity. On the other hand, Intel Matrix Storage Console detects the correct capacity (See attached picture). The Intel Storage Manager (Ctrl + I during POST) also detects the same drive size as Windows, so my guess is it has to do something with the chipset. I feel like a firmware update should solve the issue, but I can't find info about that. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Current configurations: OS - Win 8 x64 M/B: Asus P6X58D Premium (w/ Intel ICH10R chipset)
  12. Console hardware is ALWAYS sold at a loss; the lost revenue is made up by game purchases.
  13. For me it's The Last of Us, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Fez, Batman Arkham City, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
  14. That's not a very helpful comment to be honest nor does it even attempt to answer my question.
  15. I've been looking for the ModRight ModMat Xtreme for awhile now - the only places I can find it are on Amazon.com, FrozenCPU or Performance-PCs, which all ship from the States and I'm located in Canada, hence high shipping costs. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a retailer that sells them in Canada or offers cheaper shipping? http://www.modright.com/products/11391/pad-310/ModRight_Xtreme_Super_Large_Anti-Static_Mod-Mat_Work_and_Assembly_Surface_Over_47_x_23_in_Size_-_Patent_Pending.html
